Hi Nicola, I don’t usually comment but please know how much I enjoy your videos. The time you spend creating these is greatly appreciated. I also love seeing your beautiful dogs I’m a huge animal lover as you obviously are as well. That’s really the reason for my comment today. The new antique sampler you showed us. I haven’t had a dog for over twenty years. We do have two cats one is a bit elderly we lost her brother sadly last year due to complications with diabetes. I have wanted a dog to join our family for several years. I grew up with dogs and always had one until my daughter was a few years old. So this year I decided it was time. I wanted a smaller dog than what I’ve had in the past. So I decided on a Minature American Shepherd. This is a smaller version of an Australian shepherd which is something we had when I was a teenager. I’m picking up my puppy on his 8 week birthday on Wednesday. I was so excited to see this sampler as he will look very similar to the dog stitched in the sampler. I felt it was just meant to be for me to stitch this and have it in my home to commemorate my new puppy. Please chart this sampler soon. I am so excited about it. Wonderful video, that ice bucket is awesome. With our dogs we have to spell the word walk out for if you say it out loud our youngest dog goes and gets his leash. Our weather is getting warmer so lots of long walks happening. I have learned so much from Cathe and all the samples she stitched really helped me. Have a great week.

The new Cohana pink is a very tan pink and very similar to last years. (Last years didn’t really seem very pink to my eiye either.) Still beautiful but hoping for truer pastel pink at some point. Thank you for another video!

The airship reminds me of the Giffard dirigible. It will be interesting to see if you can find the source of the airship design. It seems like everyone was excited for airships in 1920 in England. Your new acquisitions to your antique sampler collection are lovely. The cohana scissors are beautiful. I love that the Japanese culture revolves around the seasons and celebrates the seasons/nature. I have a pair of dovo scissors that my mother got me for Christmas before dovo shut down due to covid. I've had them for three years and absolutely love them. There is something to be said about quality needlework supplies. Have a wonderful day.

Perhaps you could chart MAC with the original colors and the faded colors. So many of us can not afford to purchase antique samplers. We like them not just for their design or verse or personal sentiment associated with the motifs, but also because of the softness that aging has given them. Having them charted with the faded version gives me the chance to make what appears to be an old sampler. Just my thoughts. Cherishing each stitch from NC.

I was thrilled to find a local framer who would prepare needlework for framing. Unfortunately their work was disappointing to say the least; even though I'd tacked around the work to mark the rebate line this was ignored and nothing was straight. When I took it back and complained the manager was totally mortified: a new framer's work had slipped by their quality control. The moral of this story is, insist on an experienced person and view an example of their work 😢

Beautiful new red sampler, so wonderfully unique! I look forward to seeing it charted. Also, the MAC dog sampler is wonderful. My vote would be for using the more vibrant colors on the back to show the personality of the stitcher. But, either way it will be charming!

The dog sampler is so so so lovely!!!!!!! The dog is identical to my old dog, whose name was Mr Darcy, and passed away 8 years ago. I would love to stitch that sampler in memory of him. I really hope you'll reproduce it with the original (back) colors. Thank you so much for showing it this morning. I still miss my dog.

Afternoon Nicola. The frog was visiting me today he has now been shown the door. I am stitching oan Maria Vincenza Laricchia while visiting with you today. later oan I will be stitching oan Mary Hickmott 2015 Hardanger sampler a wee bit at a time as white oan white my eyes are not liking it. I will be introducing some purple in every other block so will be traditional and modern in this sampler well that's my plan. Together we count, happy stitching.
