I love your explanation of how WIPs are like friends and working on them is being with them so you don’t want it to end. A lot of my projects are like that, too. Some things need to be finished, but a majority of my projects are just for fun and the joy is in the journey, however long that lasts. 🥰

I enjoyed your flosstube, as always. As you, I always feel "lost" when I finish a project, and it takes me awhile to start something else, because that "connection" is lost. You said it perfectly. Oh your new years plans sound fun, and your new start sounds interesting. Happy new year. Maybe you and use your WIP parade as a way to sort through all your projects and find the ones that are really close to a finish, and maybe prioritise them. That way you may get a better sense of achievement.

@@NeedleberryStitcher not surprised, overtime our tastes change or we realise that we started the project for the wrong reason, for me I sometimes get caught up in what everyone else is doing and it is not until I start a project that I realise that it is not for me. I just put is away out of my active WIPs as my tastes may change and I will pick it in a year or 10 🤪

If you mean the cardinals, those are not stitched, they are paper crafted using quilling. ☺️💕
