The details of the Dreams of Summer SAL are as below;
This is a five part stitch-a-long. You will receive a part of the design on the release dates below until the design is fully revealed on 11th July.
Charts are in PDF format in colour, a b/w version, and a Pattern Keeper compatible version too. The updated files will be emailed to you each time a new part is released.
Part 1 - 16th May
Part 2 - 30th May
Part 3 - 13th June
Part 4 - 27th June
Part 5 - 11th July
The SAL is currently unavailable to purchase but once it has finished on 11th July it will be back on sale as a full kit and a PDF version only too.

Don't forget I have had quite a few smalls planned in too - that has really helped with some finishes and keeping the WIP number down! I'm starting to do some bigger projects now so it's getting harder to finish things off but not going to stress about it! The dance show was awesome but boy I am still worn out 🤣

Very nice to sit and stitch and catch up with you after a unexpectedly stressful non stitching weekend. My Mom ended up in the e.r. Friday, was airlifted to a bigger hospital that afternoon and then had a pacemaker put in on Saturday. She is doing well and is back home now, but the weekend was a bit stressful. Congrats on the finish! It looks awesome!. Thanks for sharing how you kit up your projects. I keep track of my DMC stash with Lord Libidan's free excel worksheet. I don't keep track of my other threads right now. I have most of them on rings in alphabetical order and just go through them if I need something for a project. You, Sarah, and Carolyn have me thinking about what to do for my birthday next year. It is a big birthday that I would rather ignore or just stay my current age for the next few years. The thought of doing what you and Sarah are doing when I already have 80 wips is overwhelming. I'm a little stressed out about the number of wips I have already, though it doesn't seem to stop me from starting new things. I have been thinking of maybe doing what Carolyn is doing and do a combination of starts and finishes. I have a while to decide so we'll see how many wips I can finish this year to bring the total wip count down. Take care.

Oh your poor Mom - I am glad she is home and on the mend but it must have been a stressful time for you all. I hope you are able to relax a bit now and get some stitching done. Gosh 80 wips is quite a few! It's difficult to not have a new start when there are so many beautiful new charts coming out. I did make a real effort at the end of 2023 not to have new starts so I could get lots of my wips finished and ended up with just 5! Maybe have a look at your wips and pick 2 or 3 that you could finish in a week and stitch on them until you are done! I bet you could bring the number down (if you want to of course) with a few little challenges here and there. Good luck and happy stitching 🧵🪡❤️

So good to see you my sweet friend ❤️ Thanks for taking us along your kitting process - I always find it very fascinating to see how other stitchers do it. 😍 I mostly decide based on the fabric count what threads I am using and if I do a conversion. For example when I pick 32ct, I know that I will do a stitch most likely with Sulkies. For 36ct/40ct it depends on the size of a pattern. If it’s small enough, I will pick my Tom&Lily Threads or threads from my stash. If it’s big I tend to go with DMC. And if it’s a special pattern I fell in love with because of the colors I mostly get the called for. And then it’s all tossed on my fabrics 🤣 Wow, long text but that‘s how I do it 😅 Wishing you some wonderful days with less stress and more stitchy time. Big hugs ❤️

Sally, this was a wonderful episode. I appreciated up your kitting ideas. I had thought of something similar but wasn't sure about all the details. Love the sturdy looking cards you use for your DMC. Great kitting up ideas Sally! I do something similar with my DMCs when I'm stitching projects with lots of colours, but I tend to use thread cards (with multiple holes) I may start using floss drops I've collected. 😊 🪡 ❤️ 🇨🇦

I uses to use thread cards but tended not to do anything with them afterwards so have a wallet of them! Occasionally look through and find a colour I can use up. I had so many floss drops it has been good to put them to good use! Happy Stitching 🪡🧵❤️

I have a very similar thread storage system but I use the Floss-A-Way bags to store my floss drops & backup skeins of floss. For some colours, I have two or three floss drops with that colour. And then I track it all on a spreadsheet so I know immediately if I need a colour whether it is in Stash or in a project. I'm loving your 50 starts and the flexibility you're bringing to it all. That's the story of life, isn't it --- rolling with the waves! Thanks!

Enjoyed catching up again Sally. Your kitting up was interesting because I think I’ve been on a similar journey finessing how I kit up as the year has gone on. Like you I now kit with a few strands from a master and honestly it’s working well and saving money. I like to be organised generally so doing the organising for the 50 starts has been enjoyable for me. I don’t like to have too much kitting to do though or I won’t have time for the starts, so I’m glad I did quite a bit of kitting last autumn in preparation. Looking forward to starting Light with you. It will be my first Barbara Ana.

Yes I did a few bits last autumn - like Barbara Ana Freida which has been sat kitted up and been moved down the list! I suppose I will have it for next year! Thank goodness we went for flexibility and we've taken a month at a time! Happy Stitching 😘😘😘

I have thread stash but have converted to Notion this year, same premise because I have it synched to my phone as well as my iPad so can shop easily :) Also I bought ‘Away We Ride’ in March but was well intimidated by it but let me know when you decide to start and perhaps I can put my big girl pants on and have a crack. I’ve really enjoyed your channel, so glad I took EllieWellie’s suggestion to look you up, now I am going to go try some of the girls you mention often - might start with Charlie Feathers lol she sounds awesome too. anyway thanks for the awesome content, was great to see how you kit up and it’s given me some good ideas too. Thank you for another enjoyable Flosstube Sally and for the tips on your 50 starts for 50. I'm thinking/planning 40 starts for my 40th next year but I was monogamous stitcher until Sept 2023 when I discovered Flosstube by accident and have only had 22 WIPs (currently 19) at one time so it's a little daunting. I actually have those exact Amazon zipper bags in my cart as well as some numbered tags to attach to the bags to match the projects on a list. I have Thread Stash on my phone but only found out about it recently from a Facebook group. I have my master set of DMC now and plan to organise that this year and just pick the colours I need while I stitch on each project and return to the storage system as I nearly always stitch at home. I'm considering doing 40 smalls or perhaps 40 stitches with birds? I love my PNPS subscription but have only stitched a couple of the projects from the magazines. I think I will go through and print out some options this weekend. I have a good while to plan and in the meantime I'm working on making progress with my current WIPs.💗

Just a note for anyone else - my App Store did not have Thread Stash but it did have Threadalog which looks the same. I’m in the Uk xx

I think Threadstash is only android, but you can use a Web based version too which does the same thing. It's soooo handy!

I think you will manage 40 with no problems at all! I would work to get your WIP'S down towards the end of the year so you don't have too many hanging over you. I hardly did any new starts at the end of 2023 as I kept them on hold. Also lots of smalls are good as you can finish them quickly and get some positives. I've enjoyed a mix of small and larger projects. Also make sure you are flexible. If i had stuck to my original list I might have got fed up but as I had flexibility I threw things off my plans and added new things and soke SAL's I wanted to join. You'll have great fun I promise!!!

Ah yes just been and had a look and I think it is however there is a website based version so you can still log in on your phone on a none android phone and use it! The creator is Nikkithestitchqueen on Instagram so you can find links there. Hope that helps and happy stitching! 🧵🪡❤️
