Good job Beth!! Love the new background. I think the first Flosstube that I watched was Lost in Floss in 2020.

You know I'm gonna have to borrow that Oct 31 chart! Love the mighty oaks so much! Enjoyed seeing all the things. So glad you had time to stop at Acorns and Threads. You told me about flosstube, but I don't remember who I would have watched first. Thanks for all the inspiration.

Beth, It's lovely to hear how your Flosstube journey began. It's meaningful, isn't it, to look back and to see what got you started. The first videos, and that first spark, etc. How lovely to have found a channel that helped you branch out into new fabrics and try something you hadn't before, but that gave you the encouragement to do so. The person who got me started watching flosstube was Michelle of My Romantic Tangle. I enjoyed how peaceful her voice was as I was learning how to embroider and then cross stitch. Then I too, fell down the rabbit hole!

What a great video! Your thumbnail of the Mighty Acorns totally drew me in. I have that kitted and ready to go and I'm totally rethinking the color of my house now. Lovely! The flosstuber that convinced me to get back into cross stitching was Nichol Spohr. I love her style and have enjoyed the non-1980's take on the hobby. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Beth. You don't know me, but I was with my daughter at the last meet-up in Hayden, Idaho. We traveled about as far as you did from Moses Lake, Washington. I'm a little immobile so I didn't introduce myself. I admired your work from afar. My daughter, Julirae suggested I watch your Flosstube. I watched it for the first time today and really enjoyed it. I admire your tenacity. I'm a fairly monogamous stitcher. I'm old and not in a hurry and I stitch slowly. My floss tube adventure began about three months before the confinement of Covid. My dear husband was very ill so I needed a distraction from both of those things. His distraction was old movies, especially Westerns, and mine was cross stitch. I had done a little cross stitching and Julirae had gotten into it at the time. When Garth passed three years ago, I came to live with her and we've been happily stitching since. We're going to attend the Queen City Retreat in Charlotte in about three weeks so I'm getting ready for that. My big difficulty is my eyesight. I have to have magnifiers, frames, etc. and I pretty much stick to 14 ct. Anyway, thank you for a fun video. Keep up the good work. I'm planning to attend the next meeting because as you said: stitching with other people is good for the soul. Joan Gunter

There was a small retreat put on by Joyful Stitches (facebook group and etsy store) back in August in Coeur d'Alene. There was talk about another one in CdA in the up coming year. Join the group to keep tabs on when/if they do another one. I mention this since you said you're (sorta) in that area. I'll be at Stitch West this coming October, mayhaps I'll run into you there! Hi Beth - Your stitching is beautiful. I really like the one you did for your grandma. I came across just keeping stitching (pam & steph) in 2017 when I was trying to find cross stitch retreats and this was before stitchcon was created. I didn't know flosstube was a thing back then. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make the retreat in August due to life circumstances. I would be interested in coming to coeur d'alene sometime to stitch with the group and meet stitchers. I don't know of any stitching groups around Yakima or Tri-cities and am looking for a group to get plugged into. Hope you're stitching is going well and can't wait to see your next video! Happy Stitching!

Hi Beth! KZbin suggested your video to me and I enjoyed seeing all your projects. The Small Acorns chart has been stitched so many times, but I truly love your version the best of all I’ve seen. The fabric and your house color really make the design sing, and I love when stitching has a special meaning. I am very familiar with eastern ND, as I used to work in the emergency health industry, and formed relationships with hospital and EMS staff generally within the NE quarter of the state. Is that the region you are from originally? Looking forward to your future updates! -Leah Noel
