It took my 10 years to hand sew a 1 inch hexagon Christmas quilt and it still isn't quilted so I understand how long any quilt can take. Love your show. You make me feel so much better about not finishing a project but moving on to the next one. I was a quilter before I got back into cross stitching. I have a big pile of finished quilt tops that need to be quilted. I can afford to pay to have them quilted so I said that I would take my time and quilt them. I first gave my 4 kids quilts for Christmas and told them that if the quilt was quilted they could take them home otherwise they would have to wait for me to quilt it. That helped a little because 2 were quilted and I did quil the other two. Then I promised myself that I would not work on another quilt until a quilted one that I already had. I did that but I am now slow at going back to start a new quilt. I love to do hand work on quilts (hand applique, embroidery, etc) but I find I rather cross stitch than do that so the new quilt sits be itself. I need to program myself to change from one thing to another.

I Googled cobblestone quilt pattern Pamela quilts and found the pattern! I have more fabric than I’ll ever have enough life left to use. Now add cross stitch and my life is full of goodness. Katie, your variety of projects are wonderful. I have an entire storage container of just Jo Morton fabrics. I took one class with her years ago, and have pieced several of her small quilts. I don't know how you manage to do such a variety of crafts. I have to either cross stitch or piece quilts, but can't manage both at the same time span. Sound was much better today!

Ah, Katie. You may have inspired me to get back into quilting more. For years it was my favorite thing to do, but then the flosstube fever caught me and crossstitch became my first love. I have a quilt I started last fall and I’ve added blocks here and there, but mostly I want to stitch. But I love the quilt behind you and I love Jo Morton and Kim Diehl and their fabrics, so your plea in the last video to keep buying Civil War fabrics and making quilts with them really hit a chord for me. There is so much to love in the quilting world……French General!!!! Kaffe Fassett!!!! Laundry Basket!!!!!! It’s almost overwhelming. But fall is coming and quilting seems to me more a fall and winter thing, so maybe I’ll share my time between the two loves. You seem to do that successfully. Loved your video. Carol in Texas

This is my first time watching your channel. Your projects are so pretty. I love the quilt you got back from the longarmer, it's beautiful. You sound a lot like i did with my crafting, not finishing, not sticking to what i say i would do, overthinking everything. Then almost a year ago, i was diagnosed with ADHD, and now im working on putting systems in place to mitigate some of that. It's been a relief knowing it wasn't all my fault and i don't suck for it, it's just the way i am. Looking forward to seeing what you work on next.

I think I’ve started too many wips, I like that word better then ufo’s too. 👍 I am trying to focus on some finishes before next year. it just gets down to the wire on so many things though and then I just don’t finish. Like the cross stitch piece I’d like to finish by next week and it’s all I seem to be working on when the time to stitch happens lol! 😢 I really need to figure out my projects and set up some kind of schedule with them.
