The Mason Jar line-up finished up so pretty! 5 strands to do French Knots? Wow!!! But they look stellar so I guess the designer knew what they were talking about. I absolutely love the quilt! Great style and colours.

It is so easy to put off finishing. It takes time away from stitching, which is what we really enjoy. It does really feel good to get those things done, though. I am pretty good at making myself follow a plan. If I designate a day in my mind when I WILL do something, I usually follow through. Good luck getting yours done. See you next time. Best, K

Hi! Great to see you! Oh Hathaway stitchers are awesome! Oh found her too and imagine consider the lilies and changing it for a first piece! Oh everything is great and finishes are just right, the strawberry is adorable! Oh drum is a great match. The counting is hard is such a cute piece and flat fold turned out well. I am thinking a guillotine cutter may work for matt board, perhaps? Oh,my! I will have to pull out my mason jar when finished totem! Beautiful!
@recoveringmonogamousstitch19476 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your comment on my video. I am happy to know that you enjoyed what you saw. You are absolutely right that a guillotine cutter would work on mat board, but I am trying not to accumulate more gadgets that only get used once in a while. Vonna Pfeiffer has a cutter for mat board, but she is a professional. The cost at HL was very reasonable. I will share about that next time. See you again soon. Best, K

I loved to see all the fun designs you made with your rulers. I have some rulers that came with my baby lock and have no idea how to use them! You’re smart!
@recoveringmonogamousstitch19476 ай бұрын
Is your Baby Lock a domestic machine, or a long arm? Learning to use rulers and learning different quilting designs is quite a challenge either way. I gave up on quilting on my domestic and was very fortunate to be able to swing getting a long arm. See you again soon. Best, K
@joanneenglishgantt58276 ай бұрын
The rulers came as part of a promotion that accompanied the babylock crescendo purchase. I bought the Solaris and crescendo together and they both have a quilting feature but the long arms are much more ideal. Wish I had one but then I would have to learn to use it.🤪 I actually haven’t been in my sewing room for a while but you have inspired me! Thanks so much!

The Drum looks Great! Awesome flat-fold. Vonna is so kind to share her techniques with us. Mason Jars look fabulous, the Backstitching, French Knots ... The most I've done are 3 strand French Knots, I can't imagine 5 !!! Very Nice WIPS especially the Smith Sampler. I only use Petite needles when stitching smalls in hand. I bought a bunch of the Dritz snag nab-it tools, so they can be some of my project bags. Very nice quilt, I like the roof. The Hexagon color path looks very cool.

Great finishes Karen...I love the mason jars! I wonder if we ever ran across one another when I was quilt blogging! I also longarmed until we recently moved to a smaller space where it would not fit. I often thought about those early days when we just stitched in the ditch, and could I go back and add quilting once it was bound. Have you done this before? I'm anxious to see how it turns out! I'll be watching😊 Hugs, Candace
@recoveringmonogamousstitch19476 ай бұрын
Candace, If your blog had the same name that is on your comment, I don't think we crossed paths. My blog was Karen's Sewing Room. Very creative. I have added quilting on a quilt that was not bound, but had been taken off the long arm and put back on. I plan to pin strips of fabric at the binding so I can quilt very close to the edge. I'll let you know how it goes. See you next time. Happy stitching. Best, K
