Hi Kim, the snow looks a lot prettier than all the rain we've been having in the east, but please jeep it there. Beautiful job on your quilts and stitching. Love how you finished Erin's freebie. I don't really have a stitching box, I stitch at my desk and everything is within reach. I don't stitch outside my house very often but when I do everything, but my project and pattern, goes into a little makeup pouch and into a fabric shoulder bag with the project

My set up is simplistic as I've been stitching for over 50 years. My suggestion for notions, storage, and all the things is to try everything that seems good. Then over time, weed out what is redundant, not that much help or what you don't like the looks of. The only thing I've added to Mt set up in the last 5 years is the concept of project bags. Only 2 of mine are "official" project bags. Most are thrifted pieces that work perfectly for me. The concept of a bag per project with everything in it, including reading glasses, was a game changer! Thus, we old ladies can learn new things!

I live in southern Ontario and we only have a touch of snow with temperatures hovering between 0 and 3 Celsius. I am happy we don’t have more but I know it is coming. I too use a small hoop at all times for the same reason, it helps the look of my stitches and reduces hand fatigue. Take care. 🦉🧵🪡🇨🇦

I have most of the same stuff in my stitching case, and regularly use a Prismacolor Neon Orange pencil for marking the pattern for where I left off. Also, I carry Fray Check and a Snag nab it tool. I liked your finishes this week. Thanks for sharing!

Wow it’s cold there. Looks pretty with the snow. Your quilt block is beautiful, you did well with all the points. Keep up the good work.

Your design that you stitched is cute. I love how you put the Erin Elizabeth freebie in that frame with the houses

I started stitching as a young girl (now 71) I also use a hoop & they are the originals I started with & still tighten up well! I have a small basket with a handle that keeps all my notions. Everything in placed in a closed cupboard at night as I have 2 very curious kitties too!! Sure enjoy yr channel Kim!

I'm a scroll rod user or qsnaps. I've stitched for over 20 years and I just have scissors on the sofa next to where I sit and I've lost several down the crack between cushions!🤦🏻♀️ I'm pretty plain when it comes to stitching. So I had to stop the video and go to the Erin Elizabeth website and bought a chart and downloaded the freebie you showed. It's beautiful on black fabric. Stay warm!

Your cross stitch case is a darned good idea. I have a small zippered pouch with scissors, needles, etc. that I carry around with my project bag containing my pattern, fabric and floss. But a case might be better. I will get one and try it. Thanks.

It has definitely made stitching easier for me! Thanks for watching my video!

I use project bags that I made. Since I have a cat there isn't a project I stitched that don't have her hair worked into at some point. You mentioned your mother several times. It would be nice to see her join you someday.

I like using project bags too…they house my floss, chart and fabric and the rest stays in my case!! And yup, I’m pretty sure I have some projects that are more cat hair than floss 🙈 I don’t live near my mom but maybe one day when we are together she might join me..might take some convincing though!

Great video! I've only been stitching for about 3 months but I have to have a needle threader and a neck light in my cross stitch bags. I stitch in hand but might try a hoop soon. Maybe I'll find one in a Black Friday sale! Love your cute frame for your snowy house!

Thanks so much! Stitching in a hoop definitely makes me a happier stitcher, but I think we are all different and the key is doing whatever makes us happiest!!

Thank you! I found the frame at a small local home decor store, unfortunately it isn’t marked with a brand or anything like that. I tried finding it online but no luck yet. If I do find it, I will share it in a future video.
