My favorite theme for a finishing parade is patriotic! I noticed that many of your pieces share a similar color palette with your “everyday” sampler wall so they could easily be incorporated into groupings. Patriotic charts often include words and phrases that resonate with our personal values:-) Shelly

I bought a Lowry and tried an 11x17 q-snap on it but I found it leaned way too far to the right. I’m using a big hoop on it right now. What do you use in your Lowry and have you found a remedy for the sag in a wider frame?
@ContentedNeedleworkerKim Жыл бұрын
Hi Margo! I use a bit of shelf liner with the ridges wrapped over my snap and between the clamps to help with grip. I also turn the QSnap clamp as far to the bottom as I can. It helps, but it’s not always foolproof. I will try to show what I’m talking about. Are you on Instagram? McIntosh is my maiden name btw 🤗
@margomcintosh763 Жыл бұрын
@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim what a coincidence that is! McIntosh is a pretty common name but still. 🤓. Is there a q-snap holder for the Lowry? I’ll have a look online and see if I can find it. I was just putting mine into the regular clamp that came with it and it was pretty shaky. My hoop works though but i’m doing a full coverage and a square would be easier. Thanks so much for getting back to me.
@ContentedNeedleworkerKim Жыл бұрын
@@margomcintosh763 I just have the regular clamp. I know there is a corner clamp, but it would get in my way with how I stitch. If you are on instagram, I can try to send a short video via message

So, you just stitch over the loose thread on the front then snip..?
@ContentedNeedleworkerKim Жыл бұрын
I drag my tail across the back so it’s in the stitch path of future stitching. Then it will get anchored by the subsequent stitches, and as I come to the tail, I can snip it off from the top of my work instead of having to flip to the back. You just need to make sure you are catching the tail in the back with your stitching. Sometimes stitches are vertical, and your tail may not get secured. I will make sure I have some slanted stitches over my tail, or a full X. Just look at your back so you can see what I mean. I have talked about this before, and I will mention it again! Hope this helps
