Kim, just wanted to say a quick thank you for the inspiration. I stitch 99% reproductions. So many available these days that I can't stitch all the wants! After years and years, this year I gave myself permission to just stitch the part I love the most, on *some* of those large ones. Unsure if I liked the idea but thought I would give it a test. Fast forward a couple months to now. Found your flosstubes last week. Yes! The idea was a good one. Looking at your walls and listening to you, removed any doubts I would have future regrets.

Hi Kim I love your stitching and the way that you add scripture to your patterns. I am currently stitching Teresa Kogut’s “Come to the Garden” and would like to change it to an abbreviated version (due to space) of Matthew 11:28. (Come to Me all who are weary and I will rest you.). Anyway, could you please tell me how you go about changing the wording? Thanks! Joyce
@ContentedNeedleworkerKim8 ай бұрын
Hi Joyce! I did a Flosstube extra a year ago between videos 42 and 43 where I talk about how I chart things. I love that you want to add Scripture! I added that very one to a piece I stitched as well. I hope the video is helpful 💕

Hi Kim. Selfish_Stitcher here. I wish I could take credit for the Elizabeth Eyles bird finish. The fact you thought it could be me made my day. I was especially interested in your cut and paste method of changing things around. So do you actually make a paper copy with the actual size and then cut and tape them together? I’ve done that a little bit. I want to do Peacock, unicorn badger. I also don’t want to stitch the background. I want a green 16 or 18 count Aida which I can’t find. Could you tell me the green dmc color? I’d like to try to dye my own. I also don’t like the sun. I might use the sun from Echoes of a Garden Past. I’d keep the badger because I would add a dachshund near him. Dachshund means “badger hound” because they were bred to hunt badgers. My little boy of 18 years has been gone less than 3 months. Your videos with the other two friends in Arizona are among my favorites on flosstube. I’ve watched the first video twice.
@ContentedNeedleworkerKim8 ай бұрын
Hi Ann! I knew we were stitching Echoes together, and I just wasn’t sure about the clock! The DMC green for? Do you mean what’s the stitched color for the background listed? Yes, I make a paper copy and just cut and tape as I decide what I want to stitch. I hope you stitch Peacock!
@annm86808 ай бұрын
Yes, I would like to know what dmc color is listed on the pattern for the background. That way I know what color to aim for if I try to dye my own. I should just go ahead and buy the chart. I’m thinking about making it a leap year start on Feb. 29.
