I have almost all the yearly Santas except for the last 3 years. And I've done about 4 of them. And I have done a few of the buttons and beads ones. They are so addicting. I am a Mill Hill junkie and have made about 50 kits over the years. Started in 2009. I have yet to make the smaller ones and after watching your video, I am inspired to make a few. As for finishing, I usually buy a thrift store frame and if it needs a mat, have it professionally cut and put it together myself. I am going to try a flat fold finish with one of my Halloween designs. Thanks for sharing and stay well to all.

@@calico_whimsy I have never done a KZbin video and I don't keep most of my finished projects for long. They are given away to friends & family. I have thought about making a video because I feel I have the process down. And I feel it will demonstrate to those that want to start a Mill Hill kit, that they are relatively easy. As with any type of stitching, it just requires reading the instructions before you start and patience. I recently finished the Fa, La, La, Llamas, Holiday IV I Believe (Santa), Painted Pumpkins, & Cappuccino. My current WIP is Santa's Treats. In the near future I will be doing the Sticks Spooktacular & Today is the Day. Plus I am ordering some more kits from 123 Stitch as my family requests them. I want to mention that I don't exclusively stitch Mill Hill/ Sticks. I do stitch on fabric and love various designers as well.

Oh I hope you do take the plunge and start making videos! Pretty Please!! It sounds like you would be an awesome addition to the Flosstube community! We especially love videos that demonstrate how to do something, even if you just talk about it. I can hardly part with any of my stitching and don't know how you do it :). The recipient would have to prove they are worthy, lol! Other than my mom, or another stitcher, I'm not sure anyone would appreciate the hard work. Well, I hope you give it some thought and if you do make a video, be sure to let me know and I'll give you a shout-out!

Love what you've done! For the nutcracker sword you can glue a toothpick to the back and cover with an addition layer of felt overall. Tfs!

I'm so glad that you did this video!. I think that my favorite finish has to be your roller skates. Those pompoms get me every time I see them. I have always loved your "Smores" since you showed it when you finished it. But, I didn't think that I would like the "Banana Split" until I saw yours. Now I need to get that one along with one of my most favorite kits ever, "Triple Scoop". I will be excited to see it stitch up. I did the larger "Gingerbread House" last year and loved it. After seeing the cottage that you did, I have to do that one too. So many beautiful kits and finishes. I think that the way you do the bead hanger now looks so much more finished. I'm going to have to copy you. I'll definitely be joining you for #millhillmaynia.

They’re fun to do and when you’re done you just plop them in a frame and they’re ready to display. What a great idea to do them for Maynia. Can’t wait to see your progress. I just found your channel and I LOVED this video. I haven't done Mill Hill in decades and I currently own one buttons and beads kit called Spooky Gate. Your finishing on the ornaments is so neat and tidy. It just makes me want to make a whole Mill Hill tree. Where do you hang your non Christmas ornaments? Do you have something particular? I like to hang decorations on drawer knobs that I don't pull out much.

You do the cross stitching first, then you add the beads by doing either a half or full cross stitch. I made a video that shows how do do it a few years ago. I'll find the link. It's so easy!
