Lovely to see you again. I hate it when I discover a mistake. I can’t leave it, it has to come out as quickly as possible and then put a few fresh stitches in. It’s the only way I can keep loving the project. Happy stitching ❤❤

It's always so lovely to spend time with you! Usually, I'm stitching, but at the moment, I'm cooking and thinking about stitching. You've had great progress and I enjoy seeing which charts you picked and what prompts they meet for new starts. And the two lovely charts towards the end I haven't seen and love- the Textlilly one and the Flossabilities one. So sweet! Thank you for sharing and taking the time to make these videos!

Lovely visiting with you, as always, and those tulips are wonderful! Ugh; I'm so sorry that pesky frog has been to visit. Your WIPS are looking great! I can't believe how much stitching you accomplish in such short times; you are a super stitcher!! I'm so glad you share your quilting with us. I love seeing your blocks (and quilts). I sewed my first-ever quilt top last year (just barely squeaked the last stitches in while it was still 2023, LOL) and I'm not sure I would have done it if not for watching you and Two Tall Stitchers. Such inspiration!! You especially gave me confidence to try it with your encouraging words. I'm looking forward to seeing your 50 new starts! I love that you're managing to finish some of them right away! I have very close to 50 WIPs already so I'm not starting along with you, but I'm excited to see your projects and I'm cheering you on!

Lovely to see you tonight Sarah. You are making great progress on all your stitching. I'm loving how the backstitch is bringing the nativity scene to life. Sorry about Rejoice evermore, like you when I eventually find my error I have to deal with it there & then. Jon will attest that I have, on occassion, been still stitching at 3am to restitch what had been frogged. I've started a secret stitch on 32ct evenweave & with two threads my stitches looked like small french knots. I didn't like it at all so restarted with one thread & it looks so much better. I'm stitching on a dark grey fabric for the first time so its challenging but I'm getting to grips with it. My friend is going to help me finish it as a cushion with possibly sone hand quilting. Enjoying #funfor50SAL2024 with Sally. I'm planning on starting For Thee shortly to celebrate with you both. Hope you get lots of stitching over the next few weeks. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪

Hi Sarah, thank you for another lovely video. The Nativity piece is really coming along now, and although it’s a lot of work, the back stitching really brings the sweet little characters alive. I’m sure you’ll get that finished this year. I’m the same on unpicking my mistakes; I have to do it as soon as I discover it, give myself a clean start. As a monogamous stitcher, I’ve no option if I want to carry on! 🙄. I’m almost coming to the end of my current project, so getting quite excited about starting my next project, What Remains. Yay! I was thinking of you on Wednesday - tax return season over at last!! 👏🏻. Happy stitching. God bless.
@sewmesarah9 ай бұрын
Actually, I don’t mind the backstitch at all. There is a lot and I have to pay attention, but it’s definitely worth having patience. Tax season is behind for another year. I think we merged reasonably unscathed, but you definitely sense the tension in the office on 30th and 31st! 😉. I hope you love working on What Remains.

@@sewmesarah Thank you, Sarah, I’m really looking forward to starting it, especially as I have resolved the issue that I had with the colour of the linen. I went with the called for Straw and I think I mentioned that I was disappointed with the the colour when it arrived; it looked like an old yellow duster and that one of the threads just wasn’t going to show up on it. Anyway, yesterday I gave it a wash in quite hot water with a non bio liquid and some of the dye bled from it and that has worked! 👏🏻👏🏻. It is the same base colour but a little lighter and the threads look great against it. So now I’m really excited to have it ready and waiting. 😀.

Commiserations on having to frog so much of 'Rejoice'. If you recall I had difficulties in beginning with that wavy border line (didn't realise it was meant to be single thread so after restitching so much I carried on!) and was so thankful it joined as this is the largest piece on 40ct than I've done before. I'm just finishing the first page and have done 9 +2 1/2 Acorns. I've been keeping the Book of Days for whatever I'm working on (quilting, embroidery etc) and am working on One Daily Thread and one Christmas card piece per month. My birthday start on Wednesday is 'The Tudor Bee' which I've had in my stash so I've kitted it up with a spare piece of 36ct Edinburgh Buckskin and DMC threads so that will take a while but I love it. My January DT led to a finish which has encouraged me. Your Nativity Scene looks more beautiful every time you stitch on it. Well done.

My very wise friend (and quilting teacher) once told me that as adults we don’t allow ourselves enough time to learn. We expect perfection right away or we say we can’t do something. She said we all need to be more like children and be more gracious with ourselves and be prepared to learn by playing and trying over and over again, enjoying each time for what it is , rather than for what it is not. I think she was right. I hope you’ll find time to play and learn with your quilting. You won’t regret it. 😊

Lovely progress on your WIPs. For Thee is beautiful. Thank you for the Get Connected segment and encouragement to get connected! I wish you well and happy stitching. Also, I sent you a DM on Instagram. 😊
