Sorry to hear that your little ones have been poorly, but glad that they're on the mend. That pink fabric is absolutely beautiful. I love the penguin pattern... maybe next year for me 🤣

Thanks so much for your kind wishes. The pink fabric is a show stopper! Everyone who sees it goes wow :) The penguins are gorgeous! Another commenter floated a January start thought so that could be an idea. Happy Stitching :)

Beautiful stitching and fabrics! Fun plans! I just joined WIP warriors and ordered the journal. How fun to just find you too!! 😊waddleland would be cute on the pink sparkle too!

Thanks so much! That is a brilliant idea about Waddleland! I hope you enjoy WIP Warriors too. I've participated in scattergories and riff off so far and it has been lots of fun. And I can't wait to use the journal! Happy Stitching :)

I love your projects and I can also say that I am stitching most of the same ones (Arctic Animals, Treasure Shelf, Cozy Cafe, and Halloween Quaker) 😂👯♀️. I’m very curious about the WIP Warriors and look forward to following your progress as you work on the challenges. That cross stitch diary looks super neat. Thank you so much for sharing!❤
@adelaidestitchesАй бұрын
That's awesome! They are beautiful projects and really lovely to stitch on. If you would like to do WIP Warriors then you'll have to be quick to join the group, because they are going to close for another year soon. The link is in the description of the video. The diary is much bigger than expected but great. I'm excited to use it! Happy Stitching :)

Hi Adelaide! Enjoyed this video very much. I was accepted into WIP Warriors for 2025. I have never participated in anything like it. Thanks for talking about their book. I will order one. Take care! 🪡😀

Thanks so much! WIP Warriors is lots of fun. I'm enjoying 'scattergories' and I participated in 'riff off' this month. I'm also in the Great Aussie Roadtrip WIP Warriors group and that has been really good for giving me milestones when I'm stitching the Christmas Calendar frame. The book is fantastic. I can't wait to start using it. Happy Stitching :)

The Cozy Cafe is gorgeous! I love Cheryl of Tiny Modernist as well and look forward to seeing her at the Jingle Ball! and see what her new patterns are. I hope you get into her class! I am almost finished one of her free patterns called Matryoshka Doll 💕 Your Arctic Animals look fabulous! I'm a bit behind and just starting into stitching the puffins. I'm loving it! Wait... no penguins in the Arctic?!?! I learned something new today! That new penguin pattern would be a great January start! Congrats on a full coverage page finish! I have that pattern and threads also, but have had a false start... couldn't do the 40 count over 1 and learned that I need a grid for full coverage. I have ordered some other fabric options and hope to start it when I build up the courage!
@adelaidestitchesАй бұрын
Thanks so much! I have booked into Cheryl's Gingerbread House class at the Jingle Ball so I'm very excited :) Her patterns are beautiful! I'll have to look at her free ones. I didn't realise she had any on her website. Wow I can't imagine doing 40ct over 1. That is incredible. I find a grid helps too. On my plain fabric one I actually drew a grid on it using one of my water-soluble quilting pens. I hope you give Treasure Hunt Bookshelf a try again some time it is beautiful and quite fun to stitch. Happy Stitching :)

I love the advent calendar, I might need to start it too 😊. And I’ve seen the Halloween Quacker around and it’s gorgeous as well. They are both on my someday list 😂
@adelaidestitchesАй бұрын
How exciting! You definitely should start the advent calendar too. I've pulled the floss colours and it's looking so vibrant! Maybe we could start Halloween Quaker together next year? It's nice to find someone else who hasn't stitched it yet. Happy Stitching :)

I was undecided but I am doing the Christmas calendar as soon as it comes in the mail.

Hey I just joined Warriors too. Good luck with your beading. I love beading. I enjoy Mill Hill kits. I personally do my full coverage complete X because I love the coverage. They are big projects though so most importantly do it however you enjoy most. Love all your WIPs and plans! Makes it so much fun to watch your videos.
@adelaidestitchesАй бұрын
That's so exciting! How are you finding the challenges? I have started the beading...I don't love it yet but maybe that comes with a bit more practice :) Yes I'm liking the x for full coverages too. Happy Stitching :)

@adelaidestitches I have signed up for Hayride and the Golfing thing. Seem like a lot of fun so far. Yeah I think beading takes practice to enjoy.

When you were saying no penguins in the Artic Animals, I thought I wonder if she has seen the Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery's pattern Winter Waddleland. Funny. It's a fantastic pattern. I get snow here so it makes a perfect pattern for winter stitching.

Lol Winter Wonderland is a fantastic pattern. That sounds like the perfect setting for some cosy stitching. Enjoy :)

Love the progress you have done on your projects. I do not like Tent Stitch for myself because to me it does not look finished and it is bumpy. I love the Blue Sky for the Christmas Calendar but that is my opinion. I did start the Christmas Calendar Frame and it is huge. The pink fabric is so beautiful. Happy Stitching.
@adelaidestitchesАй бұрын
The Blue sky is lovely and is what I'm learning towards at the moment. I'll have to pull the threads and do a floss toss to make the final decision. I need to start that frame! Good on you for being so organised early. The pink fabric is gorgeous and so glittery. More so than my other opal fabrics. Happy Stitching to you too :)

I was so excited when I heard my name! Thank you 💜 I love your video (all of them really). You have such diverse projects. It’s so fun to see how you are stitching all of them & the progress that you make. Plans can always change, just saying 🤭😉

If you finish the glowing wip, you can do Waddleland in its place. I have wanted to do that Lila Studio Pattern for a while now. Also the Christmas one. I still need to sign up for the Jingle Ball.

That is a good idea...I keep getting distracted though, but I'll get there. Ooh the Christmas Quaker is really nice too. Lol there's so many patterns I want to stitch. A contender for next year. Jingle Ball is so much fun! I really recommend it. Happy Stitching :)

Hi I’m a new subscriber to your channel. Love the advent calendar you will be doing. I’m setting up the frame this month too for the Christmas Countdown advent by Prim Stitcher shoppe. Last week I posted my 1st floss tube, channel name Cloudy Nook Stitches. I look forward to stitching with you on floss tube, Laurie

What about a Mirabilia on that beautiful pink fabric. There are so many to choose from! I signed up for the Arctic Animals SAL but immediately fell behind and not even done Clue #1. Really enjoy your vlogs. Thanks!
@adelaidestitchesАй бұрын
Mirabilia's are a great idea but I've only seen them as paper patterns. Do you know if they come in digital form? SAL are start-a-long's for a reason. You'll get back to it when you're ready...well that's what I tell myself but mine that aren't up to date lol. I do find Arctic Animals a really relaxing stitch which is nice. I'm so glad you enjoy my videos. Thanks for your lovely comment. Happy Stitching :)
@paulinerowbury5589Ай бұрын
I have tried tent stitch because of the speed but found I was not enjoying it and therefore not stitching on the piece so I am sticking to full cross from now on.
@adelaidestitchesАй бұрын
Yes you have to work out what works for you, don't you. I don't mind doing tent but I'm not a fan of the bumpiness. I do love how neat a full cross is. Thanks for sharing and happy stitching :)

@adelaidestitchesАй бұрын
Thanks so much! I still haven't got my pdf yet. My surname begins with W so usually I'm in the last batch lol. I'm thinking vintage country mocha but if it needs to be darker then I will tea coffee dye a piece. Happy Stitching :)

Love the penguins, Adelaide! How did you get the Christmas wheel? Your Christmas calendar was lovely, and since I've seen it done, I will be doing this for Christmas '25. I have to buy it first.
@adelaidestitchesАй бұрын
Thanks! Cup of Cheer is a super cute pattern. I love the penguin cup too :) The wheel is from the Tiny Decisions app and I put my projects on it. People use it for all different things food, movies, hobbies etc... but I find it great for cross-stitch projects. I have a Halloween one in October and now I have a December one. The Christmas Calendar is beautiful! Tiny Modernist has a sale that finishes December 4th if you are interested getting it. Happy Stitching :)

Is it totally insane to start doing full cross on the tent stitch one and then go back and cross those stitches later?
@adelaidestitchesАй бұрын
I like your thinking! Because the tent is with two strands and the full cross one, it would be really really thick though. But it is a thought. Sometimes if I have a light colour and I've done a stitch in the wrong place, I just go over it with the right colour and it does looks fine. Happy Stitching :)
@venisegionet3068Ай бұрын
I don’t like tent stitch. To me, the looks isn’t there. I feel that if I’m going to stitch something big, I would be very disappointed having spent all that time on it and not liking the finished result. The diagonals are thick one way and thin on the other way, my brain can’t deal with it. But I wish I could since I’m a very slow stitcher.
@adelaidestitchesАй бұрын
Yes the texture is quite different with tent to full cross. I'd love to see finished pieces of both so I could really judge how much you can tell when you look at it standing a normal distance from a picture. I guess I'll just have to keep stitching to find out. Sounds like you've discovered what you enjoy the most and that's the important thing. Happy Stitching :)
