Good to see you back. We just moved, long distance, bought a home it was listed and we bought it 2 hours later on line. It turned out good, love it. We just listed our house today and are getting multiple appts to see it. It is crazy. My husband has been flying back and forth. Love Shenandoah still. It will be beautiful. Your ghost are so cute. Hope you find a house soon.

Welcome back, Laurel! The wedding stitch definitely needs a trellis / arch - or something to complete the scene. Best wishes in your search for a house. The right one is waiting for you, so try to relax. Definitely, never ever purchase in haste! I have done it, and the regrets were many. Take care - and I hope to see "you" soon!

Thanks, Jasmine! We are definitely taking our time with the house hunt! I agree, the piece needs something else to complete it. A trellis is a great idea!

Glad to see you back on Flosstube! Loved seeing all of the new additions to your stash. For the wedding piece (which is adorable as is) maybe a little border? Or continue around the flowers with some tiny stitched flowers and leaves to make an arched top. Enjoyed seeing the kitty at the end! I watched three videos yesterday where a cat showed up!

Thanks, Cathy! I think a border is a great idea with an arched top. I'm not very practiced in embroidery and I think that is what is stopping me from finishing the piece. So funny that cats keep popping up in videos - some of our pieces look like fun little toys to them! 😻

Good to see you again. I hope you are enjoying your summer vacation. I too hope you have a better school year. Great finishes and progress on your projects. I wish I could say I watched while stitching, but unfortunately I’m at work. You did make cataloging these large print books a little more enjoyable! Good luck on the house hunt! ~Katrina

So glad to see you!! The flowers seem a bit random on your portrait…perhaps additional flowers/leaves in and arch!! Love, love, love the Halloween projects!!

Hi Mitzi, yeah, I agree... I think I was going for an arch and then did something else with my life.. ha! 😬 I will have to look for an arch embroidery pattern/stitch. Thanks for watching!

Good to see you again! For your stitch people portrait, I feel like it needs something on the sides to kind of “frame” the people- maybe some vines or leaves? Also, hugely enabled by all of your bent creek Halloween patterns and just went down a huge shopping rabbit hole. Thanks for enabling me 😂

Thanks, Shelby! Yes, definitely need a frame on that wedding piece! Ugh...I love Bent Creek *so* much, they are so quirky and cute. I hope you found something fun to stitch 🥰

Glad to see you back! Sorry to hear about the move I hope you have better luck moving forward! I think you may like this pattern quite much, there is a free chart over at Owl Forest Embroidery and it is called "100 Owls" it is a gorgeous piece and I think it maybe up your ally! All the best!

I can’t imagine trying to buy a house right now!! I know that you will find the right house in the right timing. Try to enjoy the ride 😂 🌊. YES YOU MUST FRAME THE STITCH PEOPLE PIECE!! They just released half wreath and flower patterns to accompany the people. It’s called Floral Motifs Volume 1.
@mountainlaurelstitches3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Jenny! I will have to look for that motif collection, that would really help! ☺️

Those bent creek hallowe'en arches would make great bookmarks if they were stitched individually. Loving your videos by the way, I found your channel last week and I'm working my way through from the beginning :-)

Oh! So nice to see you back again! I was just thinking about you the other day as wondering where you were. What about an oval hoop for your Stitch People husband/wife/cat? With the addition of the flowers and the writing underneath, it has a kinda oval shape (to my eye anyway). Hands on Design did a tutorial showing how to wrap the hoop with fabric or ribbon. I really want to do that at some point......it looks great and should also be easy! ❤️☺️
@mountainlaurelstitches3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion, Penny! An oval shape would be a good idea. I'll have to check out the Hands on Design tutorial...although I'm not the best at finishing things! 😅
@penny42483 жыл бұрын
@@mountainlaurelstitches I know! Finishing always seems so daunting! I have a piece now that I think will fit in a hoop. I am going to try that first. Then I want to try to finish on a horn book.....I am going to sloooowly work my way towards an actual frame! 😂😂
