So very sorry for the loss of your mother. I love your memorial stitch and all your WIPS. I did the Lizzie Kate flip series for my sister about 6 or so years ago when she was fighting breast cancer. Praise the Lord she is still here today!

The stockings will look so much better and hold up so much better with a fabric lining and piping. Make your piping out of two colors of dmc to make twisted cord so it matches your Santa’s. That way you can easily replace it if it is gets damaged. The stockings are gorgeous.

I have little wall space and have also moved to higher count fabrics and if I really love to get the stitch on 25 or 28 count over 1. Yeah one thread is great and quicker because there is no railroading your stitches.
