Thank you for watching. It amazes me how little there is to see. I think my mum put most of her talents into knitting and dressmaking. Have a lovely weekend, hugs, Diane 😘

I enjoyed seeing your mother's work, as well as yours "in it's native environment". The vintage car poster featured stylized "squiggles", for want of the proper term. The squiggles were absolutely the rage in the later 1950's, so I'm quite pleased to see them featured in the pattern.

I had no idea about squiggles being 50s art. It makes me appreciate the effort they put into the design even more. My father loves it, he keeps it on his bed but refuses to use it. It's still in the same condition as when I gave it a few years ago. I like your "stitching in its native environment". This can have so many different meanings, for me it would be stitching everywhere, for my husband it would mean confining it to the craft room! Seriously though, seeing stitching where it's being lived with is so different to showing something on a flosstube. Perhaps I should do a stitchy tour of my house. Have a great weekend, hugs Diane 😘

Thank you for watching! The end felt very awkward, I'd had to shush my family several times, so they sat in a row with silly grins while I was filming. Gotta love your family, right 🙄 Hugs and happy stitching, Diane 😘

Good that you were able to visit. Love your mothers stitching (and yours too 😉). Groetjes, Evelien

Thank you Evelien. We were just in time to visit England. We had first planned to go in August for my mum's 90th birthday, but we would have had to stay in quarantine. Going at the beginning of October allowed us the freedom to go out, eat in restaurants etc. Now that the number of COVID cases is high again, quarantine for NL visitors to England is back in force. It was really lovely seeing them. Happy stitching, hugs Diane 😘

Thanx for showing everything. Love seeing someone elses finished projects. The pillow your mother embroidered is beautiful! Did your mother do the endangered species one from a picture?!

Hi Eeffie, thank you for watching. I believe she did this from just one picture. I know she added a bit of grass but I think that's all. The printing on the original cover was turning to dust and flaking off, so I remember her throwing it away as soon as she was finished stitching. I've tried to find a copy on Google, but no luck so far. Happy crafting, Diane 😘

Dankjewel Mildred. Dankzij mijn moeder was ik al op 5 jaar begonnen met naaien, breien en borduren. Ik bewonder nog haar talent voor freestyle borduren. Zij is al 87 jaar creatieve bezig! Fijn weekend, hugs Diane 😘
