I used to buy the cross stitching magazines , but since retiring I have to stop, it would be so lovely to have the cross stitch favourite, so many super cute designs.

The swirls fabric is lovely and would be so right for the back, I like to use backing fabric that isn’t too busy, simpler designs are my favourite,

I have never tried a drum finish, but I really admire anyone who does them, I agree with you and think the design would be lovely as a project bag, I am making myself one at the minute, I only have 3 but I tend to have a favourite and it’s getting a little over used, love the little stitch very sweet. The cross stitch favourite magazine looks like it has lots of designs that my wife would love.

I have been eyeing up the beautiful Bella Filipina designs for a while, but I’m not a stitcher of larger pieces, but I might just be brave a try one, but which one? They are all gorgeous, Cross stitch favourites would be lovely . Thank you.

Leuke video, Diane! Ook ik heb een voorgedrukt patroon, ter afwisseling van de haed en moeilijkere patronen 😊. Max colors durf ik niet aan, dat is teveel confetti 😅. Ook denk ik erover om een quaker flag te gaan borduren. Twijfel over de Belgische (mijn nationaliteit) of de Nederlandse (mijn thuis). Een combinatie is niet mogelijk, dus wordt nog een moeilijke keuze. Maar eerst een project afmaken, van teveel lopende projecten word ik onrustig 😉

Hi Diane, so nice to see you again! I love the turtle pattern by HAED, I need to have a look at their website more often. The August Fairy is lovely and looks so good on the lavender fabric. I like crossstitch favorites 🩷 Fijn dat je weer een Flosstube heb opgenomen, mooie projecten heb je laten zien! Het patroon van HAED met de paarden was vrij snel weer van de site gehaald omdat er veel commentaar op was en er wat fouten in zaten. Happy stitching Diane

Wat leuk om weer een flosstube te zien, we hadden het al over het zorgen voor je ouders, en ik die voor die van mij, dus goed idee om geen doelen te stellen voor het borduren en alleen borduren wanneer je kunt en waar je zin in hebt. Ik heb ook die schildpad van haed. Volgens mij hebben ze soms een gratis patroon voor een paar dagen op de site en dan verwijderen ze hem weer. Je mirabilas zijn alletwee echt heel mooi! Die kleuren op het lila stof zien er mooi uit op beeld zeg! Ik ken point de croix niet, het magazin dan, maar die lijkt me wel heel mooi!! Fijn weekend!! Groetjes mildred

Although you are very busy (sorry to hear you have to look after your parents that much but it is a good thing you can spend some time with them) you have stitched quite a lot. I think the haed Christmas patterns were only shown at the facebook page? I haven't seen them on the website. I've never looked into a Cross Stitch Favourites Magazine, so this would be a chance 😊 Groetjes, Evelien

Hi Diane. Yeahhhh, ik had ook voor de happy treefrog gestemd, wat is het mooi geworden; de lijst en passe-partouts maken het perfect. Nu ben ik heel benieuwd wat je niet kon vinden....... Love de maand quakers, ik denk ze volgend jaar ook te gaan doen. De rode rozen bij de vogel zijn perfect. Wat heb je veel kunnen borduren tijdens en na de retraets!!! Stel je jezelf doelen voor je fullcoverages? Mooie aankopen heb je gedaan, speciaal de Luca-S kits, supermooi. Ooooohhhh, de bag die je hebt gemaakt is echt super! You ARE a bag maker and a damn good one too! Iwould love to stitch the winter birds. Tot de volgende video ❤

Hi Diane! I bought a scissor mat at Dutchmaynia, I love it so much and use it all the time when I am stitching on the sofa. I am still amazed by the idea! After stabbing myself almost with a pair of scissors this is exactly what I needed. The framed frog is beautiful! Hoi!! Die lijnen van easy guide stof kun je toch gewoon uitwassen als je klaar met met je project? Of vind je t vervelend als je ze ziet tijdens het borduren? Je kikker is echt heel mooi geworden! En je vogel vind ik juist mooier uitkomen nu de rozen rood zijn. Ik heb toevallig afgelopen week weer een stuk geborduurd aan mijn vogels. Gelukkig is het dus geen namaak want ik heb dus precies hetzelfde pakket 😅 en ik wist toen ik het kocht nog niks van namaak van de originele ontwerpers. Bedankt voor de shout out😊 Happy stitching 😃

Hi Diane! Sorry for the late respons, i am cathing up now i am free from work. Good to see the fairy, i enjoy my fairies every day. Your box is not one of shame but of pride!!! 🙂. You have a lot of beautiful finishes; i would frame both of the frogs, i love them. The rose is also beautiful. You could make a hanging of the red dress piece, perfect for the holidays and easy to store. I never stitched a Beatrix Potter piece but i did read it to my children. I am pleased to hear your parents are now getting help, that will give you a little rest i hope. Only a couple of weeks before Dutchmania, i am very happy to meet you there. Bye dear! Alice

Frame the tree frog! Or the big flower. My grandson has a Beatrix Potter nursery! I also read the books to my children, and watched the tv series together. Oh, and visited the museum in the Lake District. 😊

It is a good thing your parents have accepted help, but I can imagine you feel responsible for their well being. If I were you I would frame tree frog, the colours and the design are so beautiful. I love Beatrix Potter, as I remember since my early twenties when I start collecting some China, stories from and about Beatrix in Dutch and English (it is only a very small collection but when I see something at goodwill for example I buy it). I stitched a small Peter Rabbit piece and I still want to stitch the Beatrix Potter chart by The Primitive Hare. It is kitted up so perhaps 28 july is a good date to start it (and it is a good retreat piece as well 😉). Groetjes, Evelien

You are so down to earth 😂 All your finished pieces deserve to be framed but if you can only frame one I choose the tree frog (or the kingfisher). One of my favorite books is the Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck!! - I'm a Caregiver & know how difficult it is for the family members as our loved ones age & need extra help. My heart goes out to you. Stitching & sewing are great ways to help the stress & anxiety - thank goodness for our crafts!! - Congrats on the project bags for the retreat!! I'm so excited for you & can't wait to hear all about it after the retreat!
