Nice job. We sew the same way…. Gray thread and a walking foot. A suggestion, put SF 101 on the fabric side. Your fabric won’t stretch and when sewing the slit in the back together, your fabric won’t shred. Even if it’s just a small piece of the SF 101 right where you cut the slit. Happy stitching.

Thanks so much for all your tips. I have 11 Prairie Schooler Santas I’m about to sew up for kids and grands; and some I stitched and left from as far back as the 80´s. Last winter I started up x-stitching again I will start stitch each side separately and will probably do all my big living-room pillows that way also for crisper corners. It was very helpful to see someone doing the littles before I jump in.
