Hi Diane! Sorry for the late respons, i am cathing up now i am free from work. Good to see the fairy, i enjoy my fairies every day. Your box is not one of shame but of pride!!! 🙂. You have a lot of beautiful finishes; i would frame both of the frogs, i love them. The rose is also beautiful. You could make a hanging of the red dress piece, perfect for the holidays and easy to store. I never stitched a Beatrix Potter piece but i did read it to my children. I am pleased to hear your parents are now getting help, that will give you a little rest i hope. Only a couple of weeks before Dutchmania, i am very happy to meet you there. Bye dear! Alice

Loved spending some time with you today! I would frame the tree frog!! I have such good memories about Beatrix Potter, I used to read the stories to my son and he (and myself) loved the stories and the drawings!! And now back to packing 😅 happy stitching 🧵 hugs Debbie

I'd frame the little frog on the black fabric because he's adorable. He'll probably make you smile every time you walk past him. Congratulations btw on being asked to provide project bags for Dutchmaynia. I'd feel honoured as well! I wish I could be there. Maybe next year. Beatrix Potter, now there's some nostalgia. I remember loving looking at her and Anton Pieck's drawings as a child. Such talent! I hope your parents' life settles down again soon 🌹

Hi Diane, thanks for yet another inspiring Flosstube. Really enjoyed it. You are so down to earth 😂 All your finished pieces deserve to be framed but if you can only frame one I choose the tree frog (or the kingfisher). It is a good thing your parents have accepted help, but I can imagine you feel responsible for their well being. If I were you I would frame tree frog, the colours and the design are so beautiful. I love Beatrix Potter, as I remember since my early twenties when I start collecting some China, stories from and about Beatrix in Dutch and English (it is only a very small collection but when I see something at goodwill for example I buy it). I stitched a small Peter Rabbit piece and I still want to stitch the Beatrix Potter chart by The Primitive Hare. It is kitted up so perhaps 28 july is a good date to start it (and it is a good retreat piece as well 😉). Groetjes, Evelien

Frame the tree frog! Or the big flower. My grandson has a Beatrix Potter nursery! I also read the books to my children, and watched the tv series together. Oh, and visited the museum in the Lake District. 😊

Great video & great question!! One of my favorite books is the Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck!! - I'm a Caregiver & know how difficult it is for the family members as our loved ones age & need extra help. My heart goes out to you. Stitching & sewing are great ways to help the stress & anxiety - thank goodness for our crafts!! - Congrats on the project bags for the retreat!! I'm so excited for you & can't wait to hear all about it after the retreat!

When I moved into my new house, my little granddaughter turned up with her mum, my daughter jn the afternoon of moving day bringing with her Princess curtains and lampshade and said she had come to pick her bedroom for sleep overs at nannies also she brought her compleat set of Beatrice Potter books 📚 ❤ she is nineteen now and the room has changed no princess curtains but the books are still there I won't get rid of them lol oh and as a side note I absolutely love your sleeping princess ❤️

Thank you Lorna. This made me laugh, she sounds like a little princess, her own room at nannies. I also have the complete set of books from my childhood, hidden somewhere in the loft. I wouldn't let me children touch them. But each of my children did have a Beatrix Potter stitched piece for their births. Good memories. Take care, Diane 😘

Wat leuk om je finishes te zien! Leuk ook om de variatie te zien 😀 Ik las mijn kinderen vroeger vaak boeken voor van Beatrix Potter, ik hield zelf van haar tekeningen. Meestal koos ik prenten boeken met mooie platen erin ☺️. Wat vervelend voor je ouders, ik ben zelf ook mantelzorger voor mijn ouders. Mijn zus woont in Frankrijk en vindt t ook moeilijk dat ze er niet zo vaak kan zijn. Fijn weekend ❤
