I had a kit that called for those metalic thread. I like the thread but it was difficult to work with so i did not do two strands of metalic (silver), so i did one thread silver metalic and one thread of whitish color. It laid better and still gave the sparkle.

You have the BEST collection. Btw, Luda is stitching Horses by a Stream of which I also have. I'm pretty sure you'll be busy for awhile. It seems the nicest kits take the longest time!

I have had that balloon kit forever! Dimension kits are Sooo BEAUTIFUL! But those Blackbirds and samplers have my attention right now!! HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2020!!

I love the idea of a dimensions December. I love dimensions kits but they don't seem to get much love in flosstube so it's amazing to find someone who showcases a dimensions stash :)

I absolutely love your collection! I have the chart to Horses by a stream but can't find the symbol/ color page. Would love to find it, it is a beautiful piece for sure.

I just bought "In Her Garden. I haven't started it yet, but I have done all the prep for it. Reading the instructions, there is some cording and couching, which I've never done. I'm going to have to wait before I actually start it because I'm working on a difficult cross stitch right now and want to get more of it completed before I start another one.

Lisa is such an enabler!! I'm stitching Balloon Glow because of her and I'm desperately trying to find Mare And Foal after seeing hers. I didn't even know I needed to stitch a horse, but now I do 😂. My next big Dimensions start will be Winter Cabin. It's on my Christmas list, so maybe it will be my Xmas day start. Your kits are beautiful! I've stitched Butterfly forest and it stitched up quickly, if I remember. I'll be pulling out Santa's Secret in Dec and should get it finished up this year. I'm always obsessed with Dimensions and Lanarte kits!

These full coverage charts are not usually what I am drawn to, I enjoy historical samplers, but that iris and swan design is speaking to me for some reason. I may have to get that! I have enjoyed watching both parts of you discussing your collection. I would like to offer a suggestion of you like historical romance, and that would be Gone With the Wind, the novel, not the movie. The movie is lovely, but the book is everything. Rhett Butler is the sexiest male character ever committed to the page, he's every woman's dream and if he doesn't make your heart go pitter-patter then you don't have one, lol! The movie doesn't do this book justice. All the characters are much better understood and fleshed out in the novel. Scarlett is an anti-heroine, you aren't supposed to always like her, but you root for her and want her to survive. Ashley is not the wimp people think he is if they have only seen the movie, and Melanie is indeed kind and gentle, but not sickeningly sweet as in the film. She has in inner graceful strength that Scarlett is envious of and knows she doesn't posses. It is described as a spine of "spun steel", and it is she, not Scarlett who is the archetypal Southern Belle. Rhett is the conscience of the novel and is just....oh my Lord, just please give it a listen, Margaret Mitchell was a gifted writer. All the characters have intriguing back stories, such as Scarlett's mother and father, and Mammy is a pillar of strength who sees all and knows all. There are also characters in the book that are not in the movie. People who slander this book have not read it, so don't let that put you off, all the characters are handled with sensitivity and humanity. Scarlett herself is the one most often portrayed as having moral failings. Mitchell writes about good and bad people of all types, which is the reality of the human condition. She doesn't glorify the bad ones. If you like Pride & Prejudice, which is my 2nd favorite after GWTW, you will adore this novel. It is available on audible, and it's nice and long, I stitch and knit to it all the time! Edited 12 hours later to add: The Irises and Swans kit seems to be sold out everywhere, oh well. It's not like I don't have plenty of things already on hand to stitch. Thanks!
