We ARE a joy filled family, even though we’ve never met and DNA is not involved. You just make me smile and I see the joy of Jesus in you which is also a reason for all the joy. Blessings for the new year ahead. Please hug joy filled little one for me. Tell her it’s from the grandma in NC. ❤️

Yay! I love a good WIP parade. While I was watching your video I was stitching a small part of 'Death by Cross Stitch' by Long Dog Samplers in Ribbon Red by Classic Colorworks ('cos red samplers....). I'm going to stitch different sections of the piece separately. Thanks for sharing all your gorgeous WIPs, I love your colour choices. May the New Year bring lots of joy, peace, health and stitching.

Thanks for the video-enjoyed seeing the projects. Maybe do one thread a day to complete large fill in sections? That’s how I get through borders and big chunks- one thread boring then one thread fun. When the tedious parts are split up they don’t seem so bad. Good luck!

Thank you what you said about using the colored pencils to mark where are you had stitched on your patterns that is the best idea I have heard in a long time after you said that I paused and went and got out my colored pencils that is going to help me so much thank you again!😀

I love love seeing your whip parade. So happy that you have finished so many things. A finish is a great feeling. I love Barbara Ana all creatures great and small. That pattern is on my wish list. Have you considered doing just one thread a day on it. I'm working on a project with a big area of white. I use two threads of white and then go onto something else as my reward. Happy New Year!

WIP Go worked well for you this year! So much progress! I vote don't give up on All Creatures Great and small just yet. You just stitched on it so it's normal to feel a little burned out. Maybe pick it up again in 6 months or skip to the "fun" stitching or mail it to me to finish the house and hill for you! 😁

Not stitching today. Sinus headache. I'm laying down and watching you. So many beautiful projects! Congratulations on your finishes, and for making that hard decision that a project wasn't going to get done. I love how you are combining different floss dyer's variegated flosses. I love doing that when I love a pattern but the colors don't speak to me. Happy New Year! Oh, yes, your helper was great! 🙌❤

Annie, I enable myself too much for you to feel any guilt whatsoever about any extra enabling that happens. 😂 I have patterns for a lot of ornaments, and I do want to stitch them all. But I’m weird in that I have a thing about not buying fabric specifically for ornaments. They get stitched on remnants cut off and leftover from larger pieces. Right now I don’t have any such small scraps that would work for ornament purposes.. but when I finish Farmhouse Christmas and subsequently cut off extra fabric, the bottom strip will be great for ornaments I think (it’s a 28 ct heroic lugana by picture this plus). My 2022 is extremely packed with other stuff already though. I’m thinking maybe I’ll save the scraps from this year and make next year an ornament year. Who knows. The plans always change 🥴😂 I hope you do decide to continue on All Creatures Great and Small. That hill and house have been rough but maybe you will feel better working on a different section in between? I can see how it could be a tough call to make. Happy New Year and good luck on your wipgo decisions!! 🥳

Happy New Year Annie! The beauty of watching you from your very early videos is that remember all those WIPS from them being starts!😊 I have a couple of questions… how many strands of floss do you use on 18 ct? And what did you mean by 25/7? See you in 2022! ❤️❤️❤️
@joyfilledstitcher58312 жыл бұрын
I use 2 strands on 18 count. I know many stitchers use 1 strand, but I love the look and feel of 2 strands. 25/7 is an idea that was thought up by Julie McConnell where you pick a piece and stitch on it for 25 stitches or minutes for a determined period of time or until it is finished.
