Thank you for sharing! I really enjoyed seeing all of your wips. Love the variety as well, and thank you for NOT droning on about each thread, bag, fabric, pattern history... sometimes I have seen people take ten minutes per wip. I love that you are organized and to the point!!

Hi, Deborah! Welcome back. I for one missed your videos and glad for the WIP parade of all your beautiful projects to bring me up to speed on your inventory. I too am focusing on some of my oldest WiPs (and I am embarrassed to admit that two of them are from the late 1990s) with the goal of completing at least one by the end of this year. I trust your two year break included some happy events along with the heartbreaks, job changes and the passing of loved ones which were my lot. Take care, and hope to see you soon!

Wonderful patterns and I enjoyed seeing all of your projects. In fact, I had the Coffee Quaker in my WIP box, but when I looked for it, it was gone. Yes, another purging catastrophie. It was almost finished, and I don't know what possessed me to toss it, but when I get the urge to purge, insanity reigns. Thank you for the reminder. I ordered the pattern and will start it again. Remember -- 50 is nifty; um 80 is not so greaty. I will be 80 in April, and I fully intend to "live it up" in great style. I have asked my son to take me to several cross stitch shops on the way to seeing my granddaughter in Minneapolis. It will be a hot time in the old town tonight, to paraphrase an old song. Great video.

Hi! I can totally relate to the purging catastrophe. I am glad my Coffee Quaker inspired you to pull yours out, but now start new. I think touring several cross stitch shops sounds perfect. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Happy stitching!

I've been eyeing that Coffee Quaker, might just have to add it to my stash now. 😊 I'm about to start my first project on 40ct linen (historically work on 32ct or 28ct) - what size needle do you find works best for 40ct? Thank you for sharing! I loved watching your WIP parade!
@stitchthestash Жыл бұрын
Hi! I use a size 28 needle for all of my 36 ct and 40 ct linen projects. I have found for me that a size 26 needle is just a bit too thick. Congratulations on venturing into 40 ct. I hope you enjoy stitching on it very much. It has become one of my favorite counts to stitch on. Thank you for watching!

You have a lot of wips. I think you said you do WIPGO. How do you decide what you are going to stitch on beside WIPGO how long do you stitch before you move on?
@stitchthestash Жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, I do WIPGO. I've made my board align with things I wanted to accomplish by the end of this yer (i.e., certain number of days or a finish on a project. As for what I decide to stitch on beside WIPGO calls, I really keep in my mind the WIPs I would like to have done by the end of the year and get stitches into them. I also have smaller WIPs that I keep in mind when I am feeling some quicker finishes. If I am going for a finish, then that is what I will work on until it's done. However, I may only work on that as a morning stitch and then switch to something else for an evening stitch on the weekends and days I work from home. When I am in the office, I bring a different project with me to work on during my lunch break. If I pick something up just to make some forward progress, I may work on it anywhere from 1 to 4 days. Just depends on how I am feeling. I also get a bit of anxiety when I work on one project for too long, so that is why I rotate to another project. I know I have a lot of WIPS and that is ok with me as I know I am always working on my oldest WIP until it is done and then when it is, I move on the next oldest WIP. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
@tiffanyjohnson9738 Жыл бұрын
What do you all do with these once they are done? I am new and deciding how deep I want to get into this lol.
@stitchthestash Жыл бұрын
Hi Tiffany! I have finished my pieces by framing them (either do it myself or send to a framer), making them into pillows, drums, flat folds, mount in a hoop or sometimes I might have a display item that I can mount the finished piece on to. I also have some smaller finishes that I have noted I want to place them inside of a junk journal. There are so many ways to fully finish and it's just a matter of figuring out what you want to do with them. I do have some finishes that I have yet to figure out what I want to do with them, but I know eventually it will come to me. I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. Happy stitching!

I am a nurse and am concerned that you have an enlarged area on your left lower neck. Left as we are looking at you, I know sometimes images can be flipped. It may be a good idea to have it checked out.

Hello. Thank you for your concern. Please know that I actually had two medical appointments in August where my neck/collarbone/etc. were thoroughly checked by both of my doctors.
