The yarn is to separate bundles of floss at least when I did this kit, it did that, so example.the green yarn has black stitch floss. So you can easily separate the colors properly.in the paper instructions it should tell you what floss colors go to what yarn bundle color. Hope I explained thst rigjt.

38:09 those are Eastern Bluebirds. They are native to the eastern US. The blue on them when they are in flight is very striking. Your next birds are blue jays and also US natives. They’re a bit bigger than bluebirds. It’s a bit of a bully around bird feeders. :-)

They used to use wool to separate bundles of thread before sorting

I was about to come on to say this too, my old large Gold Collection had 4 sets of floss bundles and they were tied with blue, pink, green and white wool so you could figure out which floss when on to each floss card and help you match the colours to each floss number marked on card.

The wool on the older Dimensions kits is just there to identify the bundles of thread. When you read the instructions, it'll tell you to look for x coloured wool bound bundle :) lovely selection of kits. Thanks so much for sharing.
