I use Aida and the easiest way I’ve found to get the design perfectly is to pin. With linen, I ran a piece of thread across to keep it straight.

I pin and tape using double sided tape, but I have not seen the stitchery tape before. And I have wondered how sticky board is used, cause just putting it behind my stitching does not appeal to me 💙🖖
@helend.flosstube2 жыл бұрын
The Stitchery Tape is great! The Score Tape was nice too, sometimes I just want a thin piece. Sticky Board directly on my stitching makes it hard to reposition things, but it works well for holding on the batting. :)

I love this video. I never thought to make felt flowers. So easy, who knew? I'm also happy to know I'm not the only one who has to keep trying again and again to get my fabric straight and have do-overs on the embellishments. Projects always start out one way in my head, but don't always turn out that way in the end. Lots of trial and error. You showed that most things are forgiving. 🙂 Also, where did you find the 6 pack of stands?
@helend.flosstube2 жыл бұрын
I always have do overs! The chalkboards I have were in my closet, but I believe they're from Hobby Lobby. Another stitcher commented that she found some there recently in the party and stationary section.

Thank you for creating this tutorial! It’s very helpful. Question - on the cording, it looks like the end that you started with (the good end as you said) did not have a knot in it. How is that staying together? Thanks!
@helend.flosstube Жыл бұрын
When you make the cording you loop your two colors through each other. That creates a clean edge that doesn't unravel. I know I'm not explaining that well!
