Amanda, it's gorgeous. Happy 50th, so glad you made the call to treat yourself. As someone who decided last year to buy a full set of DMC colors, I can attest the the fact that in the long run it does save money by not having to run to the craft store or pay shipping each time you need to kit something up. And that wooden case is an heirloom quality piece. It's just beautiful. Wishing you speedy heals and happy stitching.

Congratulations on your purchase and a very happy birthday! Recently reaching the half century myself, it felt huge then just passed. I am so glad you made a big, memorable purchase. If I had the full DMC set I would definitely not bobbinate. I would leave those lovely long skeins just as they are in their full glory, and use them on flossdrops and replace the skeins. Joy!

I recently completed my dmc collection. My advice is to bobbinate 4-5 everyday before you start stitching. That way you make progress and don’t lose your mind, since it is very tedious.

Happy birthday, looking fabulous at 50. 💞💟 I love the DMC cabinet that you treated yourself to. You deserve it after the year you've had and if you break it down it is very good value - 489 skeins + a very well made cabinet. Are the drawers deep enough for the bobbins? Every time I have seen one of these they always have the skeins laid flat. It might just be for display purposes but you best check. I hope you have a lovely belated birthday party or whatever you choose to do X

Beautiful piece, great purchase. Any idea how many skeins it could hold? One skein per each colour or can it hold more than one of each? I’m not one for bobinating, I like the skeins loose so I can put them on thread keepers for each project and I don’t need to worry about the kinks from bobinating. I was really sad to see from a previous video that you broke your ankle and you are in a cast. When will you have your cast removed? I was in a cast too. I broke my wrist and thumb playing soccer. I had my third cast removed months ago. Have a full and speedy recovery. Have a wonderful day.
