For floss drops, I've also seen people use pretty dollar store folders like what kids use in school. If you want more permanent labels on these, you can use a label maker; for less permanent ones, you can use removal price sticker-type ones, like you might use when pricing yard sale items. The telescoping magnet pick-up tools can also be found in most automotive tools sections in places like Walmart, Advance Auto, Auto Zone, etc. You'd be surprised what toys the boys have kept secret from us over the years! Walmart has them for about $2, but they also sell a set with the magnet tool, a magnetic bowl and a flexible mini claw pick-up tool. You might kind of browse through places like Lowe's, Home Depot, Auto Zone, etc., because you can find a LOT of tools & gadgets that can be used for stitching & they don't always have to cost a fortune. Dollar Tree is another good place to look around. They have fabric steering wheel covers there for about $1.25 that can be repurposed as grime guards. For the manicure scissors you get in your kits, instead of tossing them when they get dull, Hobby Lobby sells small scissors sharpeners for around $6. They fit perfectly in my bobbin box with my scissors, seam ripper, a manicure stick (for turning points in small sewing projects), etc. I don't know if these tips may be a help, but I thought I'd share. God Bless & Happy Stitching! 😄

I just found you, and I am so happy! I love how practical you are! So many of my stitching friends have all the "fancy" accessories. I'd much rather spend my money on more charts, fabrics, and overdyed flosses. Thank you for all your tips!

I love your Tips & Tricks! Although I have been stitching for many years, I always learn something from your videos. I so appreciate you doing them and look forward to every one. I have to get the supplies for the beading ring and the clamps for my scroll rod - both are genius!

You can put washi tape on the containers, then put your label on top, they will come off. Artdot has bead containers too, I think they maybe less than what you bought. This was a great video for me. Thanks for sharing.

Another great Flosstube on Tips & Tricks! My favorite tips were the acrylic lipstick holder & Morgan hoops. I purchased the mini seam ripper from your Tips & Tricks part 2 and the little rub end is great! TFS.

Love all these tips. Thank you for doing this! When you showed the Morgan hoop fit trick I stopped the video and looked at my Morgan. I noticed that there are 4 places on both the inner and outer hoop that have small circle marks. When I lined those up, super tight fit. But I can’t seem to find the tightening tool you showed. Do you remember where you got it?

I purchased the clip on clamps. How do you flip to the back to bury threads? I like that the clamps hold firmly except when the table is very thick. Any advice on using them would be greatly appreciated! Great tips on your video!!

Flipping back can be a pain! I will release one side and flip over. I also will start and stop on the front with the pin stitch. I really isn't noticeable when you complete your stitches. Jacque

I have an idea of buying a 1x2 piece of wood at Lowes and making 2 L shaped pieces to go in each clamp. Hopefully I will show what I am talking about in my next video. Stay tuned..

How do you know what's the top of the fabric? Is selvage always the side?
@CrossMyStitches7 ай бұрын
Since these fabrics are the same all the way around, there is not a top. You can turn your fabric any way you wish and call it the top. That is unless the is a design on the fabric dictating where the top is. 🪡🧵🪡
