When you need extra width on your borders to help with framing, try sewing strips of regular fabric on all 4sides to allow more of your xstitch fabric to be utilized.

I enjoyed seeing your WIPS and finishes. I have become a bit obsessed with HAEDs myself. I just bought two more during the sale. Almost bought a third, but restrained myself, lol. Will wait until next time and see how I feel about 28 count evenweave. I am currently doing my first HAED on 25 count (first time using evenweave), and it already seems really small! I have two that I purchased 28 count for 😬 The one I have now is a Storykeep. Then 2 minis. The one I’m waiting on (for next sale) is a regular size- possibly color expansion because it’s the Treasure Hunt Bookcase. I’m just not sure due to the expense of that many skeins of floss AND having to Kit them up 😵‍💫🤣

When your aida is too stiff, you can wash it out in the sink and hang it up to dry. That removes the starch.
