Thanks! And the little pocket for the rod is a ‘rod pocket!’. Thanks for that tip too.

Toss up between this frame, the v22 version, and the millennium frame (don't mind the wait for quality). I've seen a few videos where they talk about it squeaking really bad. Do you have issues with that? In this video I didn't hear any, is that because the frame is older? Appreciate the video thank you!!
@gracenotesstitchers-corrin67842 жыл бұрын
I have not experienced any squeaking at all, but yes, they are the older version. I have not purchased any of the newer ones yet. I’m glad it was informational for you. I did recently see a post, where Omanik said they were going to make the older rods for another 9 months.

Thanks for the video. I love Flosstube for learning about new tips, tricks and techniques and seeing what people are stitching. What stand are you using to hold your Omanik frame? I have an Omanik still in the package because it is really big (100cm).

@@gracenotesstitchers-corrin6784 do you have a special attachment for such a large frame? I have a Lowery stand too .
@gracenotesstitchers-corrin67843 жыл бұрын
@@jas2627 yes, we both have the long frame adapter. It definitely helps with the weight. I have a lowery video that also shows the attachments. I cannot imagine doing my 110 cm without the long frame adapter. It is a little awkward to flip to the back, but I do show that in the lowery video.

I used to buy my from 2 shops in Canada. One has since closed and the other doesn’t seem to be stocking them. Now the only way to buy them in the US, is Lindy Stitches online and Hobby House in New York - you can’t buy from Omanik directly anymore.

Hello! Just found your channel and have loved learning about the Omanik frames! What size would you recommend for smaller type items, no wider than 25 inches or below. The sizing is a bit confusing when you shop for these! I used your links and want to shop with those shops, but just curious if you can recommend a good one to start out with so I can try these frames! Thank you so much!

I honestly have started using Rolaframes for my smaller projects and keep the Omanik for the ones above 25 inches. If your project is 25 inches, you would want 70 cm Omanik rods. It’s really hard to pick one size, because if you have a 17 inch project and you leave it on the 70cm for too long, it can warp the rods. I used the layaway plan at Charting Creations, and bought several sizes. If you want to try one first, I would pick your largest project, and get the size that it would fit on, and then go from there. As far as side bars, 15 cm seems to be really good, but I also love the 20 cm, as it gives me a larger surface area to work on. I also use the same side bars on several projects. I move them from one set of rods to another. I hope this helps!

Hi! For mirabilla projects, if i use a count 14 aida fabric, what size of the horizontal frames will I use?
@gracenotesstitchers-corrin67842 жыл бұрын
How big is your fabric? If you’re fabric is 92 cm, I get a 100 cm rod. If the fabric is 64 cm, I get a 70 cm rod. I hope this makes sense!

I’m sorry I never saw this. I bought it from a shop in Canada that had since closed. Both Lindy Stitches and HobbyHouse in NY carry them

HI! What size is your quantum frame? Thanks

This one is 70cm. I have them in a lot of sizes ranging from 60-110. My side bars are mostly 15cm and 20cm.
