Yeah and honestly no expendable storage isn't even bigger screw up in my opinion. I have expandable storage I can confidently buy a base model. I can add storage if needed. Plus you have the added benefit of being able to remove your saved content and swap phones and devices . But no charger in the box is a joke too especially since fast charging is becoming one of the key features in phones. And Samsung did have a battery problem with an explosion a few years ago maybe we shouldn't trust it with random third-party Amazon basic chargers.

This review came out of the sky like the phone lol. Floss stays on point! So if you have an S20 FE like me there's no real need to upgrade unless it's something bigger cause you lose expandable storage in trade of the SD 888 and being an inch smaller. It definitely looks better than the S20 FE cosmetically but if you got an S20 FE you really don't need to upgrade and it's already getting Android 12 starting this month. Personally I'm waiting for the S22 Ultra to get back those Galaxy Note vibes. I want it back

For those of you who might be new to Floss. His framing of the S21 FE Review is amazing. I just came from MKBHD. Great Channel great review as usual BUT his framing is totally different. He framed it has as baffling move on Samsung's part especially so close to the S22 Drop. I walked away feeling like the S21 FE had no point to it but... not Floss. He Frames the whole review with one word... CHOICES. Then he details what you get based on YOUR NEED. He frames the plastic back as benefit for those who may need it. He goes over sizes based on your need. Floss is the truth. I almost didn't watch it because I am a Samsung S 5 Gangsta Ultra Guy. Yet MKBHD had such a nice Thumbnail I watched his first. It was so lackluster tho 🤔 I had to check out Floss. 😁 I was educated on this device and saw what it actually could do against the Pixel 6. If you buy and live with your phone, and are not into Geekbench scores or Reviewer Circle Jerks about Specs... Floss is about helping purchase your device. You's a Quad Go Floss. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

It is a 37-minute video full of all the information a consumer needs to know about the phone. I was surprised when I went into a carrier store and only the assistant manager knew the features of the phone. The employees there could use your video for training.

A good point to make about the FE phones is that in Europe we got the exynos S21 which is whack compared to snapdragon but the FE variants come with the Snapdragon cpu.

Yes, but no. This time the difference between the Exynos and Snapdragon variant is minimal. In terms of performance and battery life they're almost identical. But the SD888 still has far better endurance in terms of CPU throttling and there seems to be difference in photo quality(only a difference, no clear winner).

I'm kinda cool with Samsung not putting the charger in the box... usually because - unlike Apple - they actually don't leave us hanging. Every time I get a phone through Samsung they give me like $200 of credit to spend on a higher watt charger than they would've included in the box, a wireless charger if I want, some wireless buds... they really hook me up. And that ain't even getting into the INSANE trade ins Samsung offers. ...what I AM getting real sick of is Samsung and these no SD card slot-having ass flagship phones. The cameras are only getting better (which takes up more storage), the games are getting larger, and FLAC audio is bigger and better than ever... and before any pleb ass sheep comes over here talking about the cloud, anyone that actually deals with something other than weak ass MP3s will tell you the cloud is a HORRIBLE way to stream really high quality music... or 4K60/8K/FHD120 video. We still need control over our LOCAL storage. ...Samsung better get off that bullshit when they drop the S22 Ultra.

I bought the 256GB Exynos model and it has been a blast. Virtually no loading times. Only problem that i had was the battery life and charging. Not sure if its common for flagships to not last an entire day on mobile data but man is thing fast. 15w and 20w chargers that i had really didnt charge the phone fast enough for me so i had to buy the official 25w one and now its fast enough but not as fast as my Reno5 4g. Upgraded from Reno5 4g and Galaxy A50

One thing to consider outside of US: Regular S21 and S21+ usually ship with the Exynos SoC, while the FE will always ship with the Snapdragon 888

@jose rodriguez well it doesn't have quad HD. Doesn't have 12 GB of RAM. Doesn't have expandable storage, doesn't have a headphone jack. Has a plastic back. It's just a glorified a series phone with a better chip. But I would much rather be using a mid-range chip that gets me 8 or 9 hours of battery life then the triple h which has terrible thermals. I have no problem calling it a flagship because it's using the latest processor sort of but it's very very similar to the a72.

Yeah we don't know a whole lot about the ship that's going to be in the s22 base model but we do know the 888 runs pretty poorly under sustained loads. I would pass on this one and at least wait and see how the next Snapdragon chip does. I also think this does not compare very favorably to something like the pixel 6 at 599. Phone is just so much more beautiful and in my opinion the camera is so much better. I love older Samsung flagships that had the quad HD, jack and the fingerprint sensor on the back. #note9

That's why I like flossy... has to be the only KZbinr that exactly prefers this phone over the pixel 6. I feel like other reviewers are too lazy to look at the features of one UI 4. Or even one UI on the whole.

As a longtime Samsung fan. I am very disappointed in the Samsung releases in the last couple years. I have to talk myself into it being worth it to give up features I care about (hp jack, mst, expandable storage, led indicator etc.). The s22 ultra is enticing but it's gonna be like $1300

S20 ultra was my last Samsung product... When they decided to stop putting a 5 dollar charger in the box, I decided to stop spending 1000-1400 bucks a year on their phones. You'll adjust after a few days of X brand... I know Samsung won't miss me as a customer, but at the same time, I don't miss them either.

Great vid as always Flossy!🙌🏼 As I can see in the comment section the general consensus is disappointment. I'm still on my S8 atm and was so done with this 4+ year old broken phone and ready to upgrade but now becuz of this price point(52k inr/699usd) my purchase decision has become even more hazy. Here in India unlike the US the launch prices were higher for the S21 series due to taxes kinda like the U.K and EU so atm the prices are: S20 FE on offer(37k inr/500usd) & S21(65k inr/870usd) & S21+ on offer(67k inr/900usd) with the S20FE prolly getting further discounts once the S21FE launches. Considering my budget(50k inr), my requirements and priorities this phone seems like a hard buy cuz: 1. S21FE dosen't have an SD card slot. 2. S21FE dosen't have a camera upgrade(what a surprise!) 3. S21 FE dosen't have VRR display(was kinda hoping it would!) 4. S21FE dosen't have an in-box charger.(kinda expected) So all this AND the fact that the S20FE already has 1&4 with a (15k inr/200usd) difference makes it a no brainer option for me BUT then the 1yr newer processor & the 2yrs more of android updates compared to S20FE makes me stop and take notice. The newer processor unless it gives battery life improvements dosen't matter since I don't game at all and as for design I really like it a lot but 200usd more? idk.🤷🏻‍♂️

Flossy, as a long time sub, so glad you put this review up. On a Pixel 5 now and really leaning towards the S21 FE instead of the Pixel 6. Looks like the P6 has worse battery life, quality of life issues that aren't ironed out yet (charging, battery life, video recording pixelation, fingerprint sensor, etc). Just wish the S21 FE still had the microSD slot.

You're probably best of getting s22 dude! I'm on an s10e which is very similar to your phone size and performance wise. I'm going with the s22 lineup. It'll feel like more of an upgrade over our phones.
