Floss, the way you cam charge your ultra watch with your phone is use the charging cable pad and plug it directly into your phone usb port and it will charge your ultra watch! So you would have to carry your watch cable pad with you.

I purchased my Galaxy watch 6 preowned when I went back to android last year with the pixel 8 pro. The watch was meh to me, just like the iwatches i'd had. The iwatch ultra was so exciting to have finally. I literally looked forward to going to work just cause I got to wear it. lol But I grew bored of iOS in general, and went back to android. Having this watch, gives me the excitement I felt when I got the iwatch ultra. And the galaxy fold 6 release is what kept me from going back to iOS, and finally more on a permanent basis. Since I've never had the classics, not having the bezel isn't an issue for me, but I can understand how it could be for those who were used to it.

I got quite a giggle from a lot of comments saying that samsung is copying apple The squircle shape on smartwatches was first introduced by Samsung in 2017 with the Gear S Sport, while Apple introduced their first Ultra watch in 2022... And even then, the design choice is also nearly a century old dating back to the 1920s The Ultra naming then? Introduced by Samsung in 2020, 2 years before Apple started using it on their watches. Though, it was first used for their top tier phones, and Sony first used in 2013! Finally, the orange colour HAS to be a copy of Apple right? Nope, it's from the S3 Frontier from 2016, since orange is highly visible underwater this colour has been widely used in underwater activities All in all, no one really thought of something first, don't jump on the bandwagon too quickly, most tech-related stuff isn't that revolutionary design-wise

I used to have the Galaxy Watch (2018) with the rotating bezel, and then I upgraded to the Galaxy Watch 5 with the haptic bezel. At first, I missed the physical bezel, but now I don't mind it at all. While the physical bezel looks classier, the haptic bezel works perfectly fine. It would work even better with raised edges like the Ultra model. I believe Samsung didn't include the rotating bezel on the Ultra because they wanted to ensure it performs well in extreme conditions, such as very cold weather or sea diving, where a rotating bezel might be a potential weakness. I don’t do sports or workouts, but I wanted to upgrade from the Watch 5 to the Ultra. I love its design and specs! I’ve already pre-ordered it in France, and it’s arriving on July 26th! 😍

That’s just an excuse to keep selling the Watch 6 Classic, that’s why they didn’t discontinue it. Google Military Grade watches with rotating bezels, they have more rugged specs than this watch and are rated for more extreme conditions. How much you wanna bet the Watch Ultra 2 has it back and the Watch 6 Classic will be discontinued…

It's called competitive advantage and all companies do it. It doesn't make sense to make parts when you can outsource it to a company that has already been doing it and both companies benefit. Capitalism, baby! Samsung has manufactured electronics parts for a very long time. On the flip side, Apple makes all of its own software, whereas almost all other phone makers outsource the OS from Google.

It's outsourcing, Apple doesn't need help making screens, they use Samsung to cut costs rather than build a factory. All the R&D is done in house at Apple, then given to Samsung for them to use their resources, time and equipment to make the screens. Guess who else does this? Google and Motorola

Taking a likeness or idea from another company isn't a deal, Apple didn't say "hey make a "Ultra" watch of your own, here's the schematics, just give us 3% of each sale". Samsung probably just procured an Apple Watch, dissected it and mirrored it to make one of their own.

they didn't copy apple. instead both of them copied other watch makers. Audemars Piguet been making them same styles of watch faces, and then the orange band is for marine purposes... in the ocean... orange is the color to wear if you want to be seen! also, samsung is giving $350 to return the classic watch 6... I paid $220 for it.. other than that.. great video Flossy! I preordered mine after watching your first video!

You’re spot on with the missing rotating bezel. That’s no bueno. I also don’t like the squared off corners that don’t have screen coverage. I want the screen to match the footprint of the body. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I love the watch but like you said the no reverse wireless charge broke it for me... Ill wait for the next one in hopes on the rotating bezel and the reverse wireless charge. Still rocking the Watch 3 so i def wanted to upgrade

🇿🇦 @FlossyCarter .. My concerns are: 1. Another reviewer said battery life is not so good unless you really minimize the features?! 2. Can't use GPS without the phone? Sort of defeats the purpose. Why would I use the GPS on the watch if I have my phone with me? 3. Can't control Spotify (pause, forward, back, etc.) from your earbuds? 4. Waze not available for the watch? 😳😳😳 Would love your comments on this /verify? Love your car man .. dope steering wheel display!! What car do you drive? Love your channel! 😉

Dear Mr. Flossy, Today, I officially became a Samsung knight. Picked up my titanium version this morning like yours my guy... I got it with the z flip 6. I know you like the Motorola this year champ, but I did my tour with Motorola last year with the razr. It's a dope phone but pound for pound the build quality on the z flip is far superior than the Motorola. It's not even a debate my guy... The other features especially the outside display moto takes the dub... Anyway I appreciate you, you always clutch when I'm making these major purchases. Stay blessed my guy 🙏🏿🙏🏿

Hey Floss, another killer review as per usual 🔥 I wanna say that I totally agree with you about the raising your wrist and the always on display not changing!! I have the Galaxy watch 6 and the exact same thing happens to me so often and it really bugs me so bad 😂 I be looking dumb asl raising my wrist to look at the time and the screen stays blank 😭 hopefully it's something that can be fixed in an update

Floss I love the understated simplicity of the 6. I will use the 6 when I'm out on a date with my phone and the Ultra when I train or go trekking in Snowdonia.

So happy to watch your videos! I know it will be thorough! I do think they should bring the camera back, even if it is an accessory on the band. I loved when I could order an uber independently from my phone on my watch. Phones should have the headphone jack.

Great review, Which one looks bigger on the wrist the Galaxy ultra or the Apple ultra? BTW the galaxy watch classic is like 46.5mm and the ultra is like 47.5mm so the ultra should be beefier than the classic.
