Comedy Gachatubers: Still Relevant?

I think y’all guys missed the point of this video I ain’t saying Comedy Channels are “overrated”, KZbinrs can’t control who people watch and sub to but I asked if they will be relevant this year or not! Definition of relevant: appropriate to the current time, period, or circumstances; of contemporary interest. That is completely different! My answer is: those channels will die, some faster than others, and a new category of Gachatubers will take their place, since views and subscribers are slow compared to last year.

Comedy is either pretty hard or pretty easy thing to do but since the Gacha community is made out of preteens, humor is pretty broken... Jokes are a hit or miss, and the joke's in the Gacha community for me is mostly a miss because it's always the same

Honestly, comedy gachatubers like Adrianexe, Nehema Rahman, Officially Iko, etc. aren't really relevant for me... Mainly because of the "copy-pasting and repetitive content" problem. It gets cringy and overused most of the time. It ruins the fun in the joke and sometimes, the joke isn't even funny. Most of what they do are effortless and they commonly get into scandals. On the other hand, comedy gachatubers like Wise fox, Meech Da Peach, SimplyTasha, Chydo etc. aren't that bad. Wise fox and Meech Da Peach may be cringe but, they have never/rarely get into scandals which is a good sig. Plus, their humor and videos are suitable for both kids and teens. Meech's humor is material girl humor which is the phase that some girls went through. Wise fox's humor is exaggerated but, kid-friendly type of humor. It gives a good image to the community since his content is targeted for kids (which is the expected majority of the community and mainly what outsiders of the fandom sees what our fandom should be for). Meanwhile, SimplyTasha and Chydo are what I find a good examples of a funny gachatuber. SimplyTasha's videos clearly has effort in them because of the editing, tweening, lip sync, and the good choice of audio and characters. Chydo also has effort in his/her videos. The editing, facial expressions, and most importantly the humor is on point. Some of his/her jokes are rude but, not to the point where it offends people. Overall, I don't really mind comedy gachatubers since most of them are only doing content that suitable for their audience and to just make people happy/laugh. Most of them don't have the intention on ruin the community or their viewers whatsoever which I think is a-okay. Anyway, sorry for this long but, redundant comment/opinion. It's late at night so, I can't really think straight... I'm not sure but, I might edit this sooner or later.

The audience for gacha videos are preteens, so self explanatory 2. Advertisers. Money 3. KZbin to not age restric that stuff 😭

You do make a point, Flo. The Gacha Community is slowly progressing in this period. I noticed that there are many GCMVs, tweening/animation memes and GCMMs recommended, it shows on how the community are getting back to their roots, but adding their style and giving a lot more effort than before. Though, there are still tiktok gacha compilations, trends, gacha humour and others relevant up to this day. And I do noticed that their views are slowly decreasing, because of lacking originality, repetetive content, being quirky, lack of effort, drama and more. Old gachatubers like Kittypoptime, Cutiepunpun, Sevella, Gacha Vida, ItzAngiie, FearTheBow and others are either inactive or often uploading, new generation of Gacha animation are rising, like Victation, GachaOmina, Muriel and More. And I have to say, I am glad that our community is slowly progressing. Keep doing it!!

I do consider myself a comedy Gacha tuber for the most part and I do try my best to think of original ideas but I won't lie I do participate in trends sometimes (if there's a lot of people doing the trend, and I not want to credit the wrong person, I will put that the video is inspired by the creator of the trend, it's less overwhelming than finding the first person to ever make the trend) and I do not care if comedy Gacha stuff becomes irrelevant, because for me at least, as long as im enjoying making videos, it's a win, im just trying to have fun, maybe make someone laugh! I used to like these kind of gachatubers, mostly because of the humor they have. But now I rarely watch them anymore ever since I am on the fandom side of the community, like Fnaf or those anime and cartoons🥀 I still miss comedy contents in the gacha community but the contents nowdays are not it. All of the comedy videos now are so different compare to 2018 - 2019's, where they all have their own creative ways to make people laugh, both teens and children, even adults.

While I do like some comedy gachatubers’ content, I honestly dislike the shift the community has taken when it comes to popular content. When I first started watching gacha, I got lots of GLMMs, GLMVs and the occasional tweening meme and maybe commentary recommended to me (this was about 2019-2020). But in 2021 I started getting recommended those short trends and only those short trends which caused me to kind of stop watching gacha. I still do watch Gacha but not at the same amount as I did, I’m trying to find some quality mini movies to watch.

8:40 Tbh i have been wanting to join the Gacha community for a long time...to be more specific Gacha art community...Like making Gacha art MVs and stuff...but i am afraid of people stealing my ideas and arts ... Making almost identical videos and not Crediting me... This is one of the main reason i don't want to join it .. becuz I don't want others to take the fruit of my efforts... I know it kind of sounds selfish but i can't do anything about my personality.. Especially most of the creators who have a large fanbase don't even bother to credit and their fanbase attacks you if you call them out.. I only have good impression on some gachatubers...one of which is @Aries Someone called her out for cultural inappropriation...she apologized and also called out her fans not to defend her as she was in the the wrong.She also admitted that she did not know that in kimono showing chest is inappropriate as she is not of Japanese ethnicity and she would do more research.. There are some more gachatubers who have apologized sincerely for things they do.. But most of them don't even feel regret or remorse..they just apologise to recover their fanbase

Tbh I actually stopped watching their content a while ago because of how the short videos are. How little effort they have to get thousands of subs every video. I actually moved channels because of a large chunk of subs I had being from people who only watched a lazy reaction video I made- I hope that the new gen of popular gachatubers put quite a bit of effort into their videos and perhaps some sort of thought into it. Now I'ma go back to my corner of the community because it is actually comfy

As someone who generally makes short “comedic” videos in the Gacha community, I generally believe that’s it just depends what you like. I still watch comedic KZbinrs , but they have become less common. And as someone who’s pretty unoriginal, I try my best to put credit or make it a different idea.. but, this dousnt help me at all. I generally put a lot of effort into my own original videos and it’s less likely to get views than the “comedic “. So, I have no clue where any of the Gacha community is going, we’re all just gonna have to figure things out.

HONESTLY, I’m not a big fan of comedy gachatubers cuz like you said, they’re short and copy and paste. The only comedy gachatuber i genuinely like is ItzLoveth because her vids make me chuckle a bit, but then her vids and the topic of it is copied usually from the gacha comedians even tho she usually bases her vids on moments of her life and people just take the video concept and remake it with their OC On another note, it also slightly annoys me when they do a tweening attempt, and it’s REALLY not that great, but comments will keep saying that their “under-rated” or “talented” EVEN WITH THEIR SCREENSHOT VIDS THEY’LL SAY THAT. It just sort of baffles me on how they get that much support compared to me and my other friends’ channels who TRY and put so much effort in our vids. While we get a fraction of our subs to views on average videos, gacha comedians will get 100k views on just a screenshot with captions I also don’t understand why people even watch the vids, like, I get comedy and humor is subjective, but they’re really not that amusing to begin with, and people like OfficiallyIko usually just make a vid with a clickbait thumbnail and an underwhelming video, I get that these are kids, but I’m pretty sure kids are smarter and more mature than that. And last thing to note, I just don’t prefer their content cuz they flock towards trends and vids made my own another that it’s just not good in my opinion I’m also not understanding why people want 2018 gacha back because it is GENUINELY BETTER TODAY THAN IT WAS BACK THEN, AND I WAS THERE DURING THAT ERA, AND THE REPUTATION AS A WHOLE IS MUCH BETTER TODAY But this is all just thoughts of mine, I really don’t care if people like the content or not, it’s their choice 🤷‍♀️ This is probably the longest comment I have ever made 🤣

To be honest here are some of the things that I dislike about the community so as a person I was getting really back into gotcha I used to make tons of mini movies and singing battles :/ it made me angry because people said oh well it's not a big deal not understanding on how much that person put effort into their content I made singing battles I made sure they had movements all the time made sure they sung the lyrics I made sure to write down plans for stories so I can know what's happening and keep track only to get 6 subs and 3 likes meanwhile they get 28,73k likes for what? Like I'm not hating but I've seen a person speak up about this situation and she does the same thing I do and people were like oh well you're hating on this group of people she was simply speaking her mind there are people who still post like literally long stories only to get little to nothing meanwhile all they have to do is steal and make fun of people and get so many subscribers I appreciate you for talking about this because it just gave me an opportunity to speak my mind about what I think about this situation

To be honest though, even if they do not control their views or subs it's really unfair to see them just grow while making shorts of a few seconds and gain more than a 100k subs and over a million views whereas the ones who do not make shorts and actually put work into their videos and gain lesser than 1k views with like maximum 5 subs from it. I'd say the gacha community might as well just turn into this "funny comedian short maker" who claim to take like 10 hours to make it when it probably took like 5 mins or less especially when they most like multiple videos at once. I really wish 2018 gacha community would come back.

It isn't their fault to get a million of views. Some of these gachatubers I've been mentioned isn't aren't really problematic and some of them are really problematic which includes the clickbait thumbnails. I like comedy honestly but for the sake of the community it's kinda ruining it cause gacha became into "comedy" thing in able to get their channels alive. Me who watches Aizen, uh I'd like to say Aizen made some not so comedy things. This comedy channels are same concept, repititive stuff, etc.

Since Im a subscriber to robin (wise fox) Their comedy type is coming lame to me for some reason, I saw stereotyping a lot of typical things, and they arent funny anymore. Same things everyday. When I do Gacha, I would give credits to who I get inspired by. This is because the amazing creater I get inspired by needs the credits for there beautiful creation! Because I like making animations with pure Gacha and sometimes I actually draw fbf animations. I don’t do comedy Gacha, but I still do short stuff. I don’t necessarily want to be identified as a Gacha tuber but I guess I am 🥲 Comedy Gacha is getting unoriginal. And I’m not on that train thank goodness. Q: why and how did you get this information A:on 2017, i found something strange gacha video that called Gacha s** so i check it out and, I was disgusted by the video, so i leave the video immediately, After i leave the video, i found another one, i immediately reflesh for stupid reason, On 2018 June/July/august ( I forgot the date ) The Gacha heat began to rising up by Gacha people and Gacha people start to give them attention, and then, There is a gachatuber who had 1k/9k (i put random number because i don't know why) discuss about the video and these people were start attacking the Gacha heat people (I probably won't do the full story because, i couldn't sleep very well because of my sleep paralysis)

I half agree with you, half not. They can't really control how many views and subscribers they get, and it's their choice of what they want to post. I'm not saying you have you agree with me, but everyone has a different type of content, and everyone has a different type of humour, some may like these funny short things, some may hate it. I've seen alot of people in the comment section say that these people lie that they take over 20 minutes and probably take 5 minutes, well not everyone has a super cool perfect device that it would take them 5 minutes to make a 30 second video, some may have an older or more laggier device like me, some may get better devices and have a better chance of making high-quality videos. And I've seen some people say 'Only GachaTubers who post lazy shorts are famous, that's unfair!' well there are many popular GachaTubers who don't just do 'lazy shorts', icherry is really famous (Around 300k) and she doesn't do lazy shorts, yes, the majority of her videos are pure gacha, but she thinks of original ideas and I remember seeing somewhere that it takes her around 6 hours to make her videos, 6 hours is the average time we spend in school, and you guys didn't forget she's pretty young. Icherry isn't the only popular GachaTuber that actually works hard with her videos, there are others aswell! Like Dixyaws (Idk how to spell her username), and others! But yea, maybe these comedian GachaTubers should focus on other type of Gacha content that isn't comedy. I've known gacha/lunime since around 2016, and been making Gacha videos since around 2019, and yea the community was less inappropriate with no disgusting trends, but there was no originality, and they would romanticise dumb things.
