I have an Ipad air gen 4 I am really thinking on upgrade but I am heavily using procreate so I need an apple pencil SO i would have to buy an Ipad AND this new apple pencil. I’ve been using the m1 iPad Pro for years now, and considering upgrading to the 12.9 inch but not sure which one I should get the pro or air, I mainly use my iPad for taking notes, I’m just worried about the display since I’m already use to the 120hz display will downgrading affect the note taking experience

I was going to get an 11" iPad Pro because my Pro m2 12.9'' is so big and my mini although I love it is a bit small, but I decided to go with the air and save a lot of money and I love it!!!!

Same here. I have the 12.9 iPad Pro. But it’s not very convenient for carrying it around. The size is great for watching videos, but it’s just too heavy for me. I was thinking to get a 11inch iPad.. but not sure which iPad I should get.. PRO’s or AIR…?

I like that you called out the smart folios - I also always look forward to the new colors. This update is weird because they seem to have changed the magnets and crease positions on the new Air and Pro, and Apple confusingly claims the new folios are compatible with the last 2 Air generations, BUT that the old folios are not compatible with the 6th gen. And yet they all work with the old Magic Keyboard... confusing. Have you had a chance to test a 5th gen Air folio on the 6th gen?

Very helpful video, thank you. Great to see you showing the apple pencil being used on the Air. A question if I may…? One of the big concerns for me has been the lack of Pro motion resulting in a reduced refresh rate on the Air. The old and new iPad Pro models have a faster refresh rate (120hz I believe). As you’ve come from using a Pro device, have you noticed the reduced refresh rate when you’re drawing on the Air?

I just traded in my 2018 iPad Pro 11 inch for the space gray iPad Air 13 inch and idk how I feel about it yet. I really miss the pro motion display and the Face ID. The Touch ID for me idk feels like a step back and it should have had Face ID but I’ll get used to it bc there’s no going back now. But I love the way bigger 13 inch display. I watch a lot of my streaming apps and KZbin on here so it definitely makes it slot better for me. I could have gotten the bigger iPad Pro but opted to trade in my Apple Watch Series 7 for an Apple Watch Ultra 2

I dont own an ipad but was planning to buy one. My main use is for writing notes and content consumption like reading and watching via browsing or apps, some good graphic games not a mandate though. So if i buy an ipad air with a pencil and keyboard would u recommend or should i be getting an ipad pro? I mean is there a lag while writing notes due to the miss of pro motion. Am not an artist so i could live with the non drawing thing but writing is what am interested in

I know there are some who somehow can’t tell the difference between 60hz and 120hz. I’m someone who can easily tell the difference however I tried using the Apple Pencil 2 on the 2020 iPad Air a while ago and it felt great. 60hz definitely can’t be considered “laggy” by any means although you can definitely tell the difference if you are used to high refresh rate screens

Absolutely not Jesus... I think you might be suffering from f o m o.. fear of missing out. It's nice to have a little haptic feedback but you didn't even know this thing existed until a couple days ago. Was your life in any way lacking? If you get a 256 GB iPad pro, none of your old accessories will work on it. I don't know if you have any keyboards or not but they won't work on it. Talking about paying like another $1, 500 maybe all told just to get a little haptic feedback in a cool little overlay for your pencil? I would just use your iPad pro until the wheels fall off.

Who cares about having any kind of apple pencil, unless they’re a pro artist? I have an air 5 with a third party pencil and it’s great, and it cost 20$. Kids can draw with it, I can do notes, draw etc, it charges through cable, but that’s hardly an inconvenience, especially if you have an adapter, it just charges straight off the ipad.
