This is a cool sequencer, came up with a pretty cool acid style sequence earlier this evening.

Congratulations, this looks unique and powerful. Can't wait to give it a spin.

actually a very neat idea with the nested state tabels, i suggest a similar thing for the elektron sequencer - some of this functionality can be done with clips in session view already - the UI is overall a good and thought out point. But as others suggested, musical rythm intervalls like once each bar , or each other bar (etc - like the elektron random method, with trigger fills - would surly expand this sequencer quiete a bit, and give more rythmical meaningful midi output.)

Hey Marcus, thank you for the feedback! We have a list of planned features that we are working on, and conditional state transitions is one of them - but no specific deadline yet, as we want to make sure that it is well designed and tested 👍🏻

Love this, bought it this morning and having a play! The only thing I guess is missing from it is probability/chance on the actual triggers, unless I'm missing it from either this vid or the documentations.

Also, is it just me or the parameters such as, level and transponse cannot be CC controlled? (TT)

I've purchased Flow and I'm really digging it. Currently I'm jamming on the presets and modifying those to figure out how it works, but it would be awesome if there were some step by step how to type video tutorials perhaps breaking down how the presets that come with Flow were built.
@orthogonal-one11 ай бұрын
Hey Charlie, thanks for buying Flow and sharing your feedback! We're glad you're enjoying it. 😊 Most of the presets actually follow the step by step getting started text guides that you can find on our website. You can check them out here: orthogonal.one/documentation/flow/getting-started/ . We're also planning to release some short and quick videos featuring creative ways to use Flow with Ableton Live. These videos will show you how to integrate Flow with your existing workflow and take your music production to the next level. Stay tuned for more updates on that. In the meantime, keep jamming and have fun with Flow! 🎶🌊

So cool! Do the examples in the video come with the full version?
@orthogonal-one5 ай бұрын
Sure, the music featured in the video was produced using Flow and is based on the presets available in the full version.

Is it possible to decouple the plugin from "ableton play" and only trigger states by incoming events e.g. midi notes? I would like to trigger states (and the next and then the next...) in a sequencer only when i'am hitting my external drum trigger and so on ;-)
@jcy4rza7 ай бұрын
Amazing! can the generator send the midi of each part to another track?
@orthogonal-one5 ай бұрын
Thank you! Ableton Live itself does not support MIDI routing from a single device to multiple MIDI channels directly. However, you can assign the four parts of Flow to control different instruments by using a simple workaround as described in our getting started guide - orthogonal.one/documentation/flow/getting-started/harmonic-and-melodic-patterns/configuring-midi-track/#key-zones .

That has a really pretty look to it. How is it programmed?

Hey, glad you like our plugin. It’s a Max for Live device that uses [jsui] objects to create a custom UI. We also use TypeScript, which saves us from some of the headaches of using pure JavaScript, like weird type conversions and bugs. We hope you have a blast with Flow! 😎
@Lalaland.00110 ай бұрын
@@orthogonal-one do you need max for live to be able to use this device?
@orthogonal-one10 ай бұрын
@@Lalaland.001 yes, Flow is a Max for Live device, which means it requires Ableton Live Suite, or a Standard version of Ableton Live with the Max for Live add-on.
@Lalaland.00110 ай бұрын
@@orthogonal-one why is that not on your website as a disclaimer before you download it? Why is that onformation not on your homepage, landinf page or anywhere on your site. NOt everyone own suite and/or max for live??? Would have been nice to have known, before I bought and paid for it, now I pretty much have a device that U can not use, because I don;t have max for live so thank you for that. 30 dollars wasted for no reason. Maybe just mayve that should have been said somewhere on your elaborate site. I feel scammed...

does this work with ARM Cpu's? Like Macbook Pro M1, M2 etc?
@orthogonal-oneАй бұрын
Yep, it 100% works with ARM chips like the M1 and M2 in new Macs. You can always try the demo first to see for yourself!
@kiwibirchАй бұрын
@@orthogonal-one Nice i will check out the demo. You might want to update your requirements page as it only mentions AMD and Intel cpu's

Is it as complicated in use as it looks?
@orthogonal-one10 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for your interest in Flow. It's not complicated at all, trust us. We don't want to praise our own product, so here's what MusicRadar said about it: - Once you get going with Flow, it's fairly simple to set up complex and evolving patterns of notes, chords and even modulation signals. So, give it a try and have fun with Flow. 😎

Looks like you need to be a coder just to use it. Very unique though.
