Thank you so much! Love negative space for a change! It accents the colors more than trying so hard to cover the entire canvas! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Thanks Nancy. I am also a fan of negative space. Much prefer to concentrate on a focal design.

Hey there Patty I appreciate your support. It has been a long time between drinks 😂. I got involved in Acrylic April and during it I have been concentrating on brush painting and also using catalyst wedges to make some wonderful abstracts with a bunch of different layers. They are a bit long winded to video (lots of watching paint dry 😂) Having said that......Every so often I feel the need to pour paint or resin and its normally a spur of the moment. You know me I like to show something a bit different so if you want a play with try some pours substituting straight pouring medium for your white as the over a coloured base as your negative space. You get some wonderful effects without the white impacting your colours.

Hi there stranger. Although I can’t really talk. I have been a bit awol myself. Learning how to paint landscapes using negative painting techniques is proving more difficult than I first thought. LOL

Last time I was using the egg cups for the acrylic ink..... since then I am full on with alcohol inks and you had just done the landscape … wow …

I love your inks.

Very nice. May I ask what you use as a pouring medium?
@crisscross1045 жыл бұрын
I use a DIY one with PVA, Floetrol, Gloss & gel medium and then distilled water.

What are the plastic squares you have under the canvas as and where did you get them? Thanks. I’m going to try this the way you do it! 😋

Sorry I led you astray. They are thin flexible plastic chopping boards. You can get them on ebay, amazon or wish.

How did you make your paint?
@crisscross1045 жыл бұрын
I mix one part paint to 2 parts pouring medium and up to 1 part water to get the right consistency. A touch more water for a thinner mix.

A few weeks ago you showed us the level board that your husband made for you. Could you ask him the actual name of the type of fees he used on the level board. Thank you.
@crisscross1045 жыл бұрын
Sure. T-nuts go into the board (glued) and then you get some of the matching bolts for the feet that thread into the t-nuts. You can get some actual feet from a kitchen cabinetmaker or just add (glue) something to the bolt as a handle so you can turn it easily.

LOL I am much more mellow than I used to be. Life is good so not to much to be a cross Chris Cross about. Bwahahahaha

The paint dips are fun to watch, however very messy. There seems to be much more artistic control with using the paint pigments as you have done in the past. ( and a lot less messy ) Ha Ha

Lol I know what you mean. I agreed to make a set for a young girls bedroom and its a bit outside of my normal work. It was fun and easy especially as its still cold and wet here. Not condusive to resin. 😂
