10:13 - those pages are mini gift wrapping paper with ready printed gift tag on them. You wrap a gift in it and then write the recipient's name in the tag "from me to you" kind of way. It's kind of explained with it being in the "giving" section.

I have to admit when I first opened my book and made a flip through I was a little bit disappointed. Don't know exactly why... But when I watched your video I took it out again and now I'm much more satisfied with it. Those pages at the end are my favourites, too. So so pretty! Love to see what you will do with all those gorgeous papers ❤

Hi Vivian, A lovley book and lots of lovely papers. Possibly too many for me as I tend to have small amounts of stock that I like to use and replenish and think this could sit in my stock for too long. However for those who do lots of pen pal mail especially around the world I think this could be fun. Thank you for sharing though I was excited as you turned the pages and a saw the lovely stickers etc. Happy crafting to all. :)

I have seen so many flip throughs in the past year that I bought 4 and 5 on amazon . de (because the shipping was 1/10 of what it would be from the flow site). I am a junk journal maker mostly with some snail mailing thrown in there and I have to say, most of the books didn't get used, because I can only fold it vertically for my signatures, otherwise most patterns don't make sense. Now they are just sitting on a shelf. Thank you for the flip through. I needed to see this one, so I can resist it easier, and honestly it won't be difficult

Thank you for sharing Vivian! I was looking at the book on Amazon and EBay ... but it costs $50 here in the US! And previous editions cost $65-80! too expensive for me... Thanks, u saved me from spending all that money only to be disappointed... those pages with the labels in the middle? You can make them into envelopes that seal on the side... flip over paper and fold the top and bottom into the middle overlapping each other a little.. enough to apply glue or adhesive to the overlap.. fold the short ends in (cutting out the corners first) and glue one end... put letter into envelope through the side ... hope that makes sense... I make rectangular envelopes like that in a much smaller size to fill with goodies for my flip books...
@ThePaperLetterBlog6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I've heard that before, so sad! But I've also heard that sometimes shops all over the world carry them, so that might be worth looking into. And I like that envelope idea, I'll use that in the future!
@magpiemarie35576 жыл бұрын
The book usually shows up in Barnes and Noble for a reasonable price, but apparently it takes about six months. I just went yesterday looking for the 2018 book, but they only had the 2017, which I still wanted, lol. I asked about the 2018 book - they got the 2017 book in April 2018, so I'm guessing the 2018 will be available around April 2019? It was $31 tho, so cheaper than anywhere online that I've found.
@recoveringsoul7555 жыл бұрын
If you can write a short letter on the back (non label ) side of the paper, you may be able to fold the paper into an envelope/letter all in one. Especially if you can fold it so it doesn't need glue and stays closed by tucking in. If that makes sense. Might want to seal with a sticker if mailing though.

I was a bit disapointed as I use this book mainly for mail and 2 pages of the same.paper are often not enough and also no envelopes?! What were they thinking? Who wants that many posters? Anyway, I think I will use the posters to write letters on the 2 pages as if it was a 2 page book and send it like that to my friends and theh can decide to use the poster or not. I will probably use the wrapping paper for envelopes (using one of last books envelopes as a template) and the colored pages at the end for writting paper as well with a white pen. I am sad though as it kinda feels like they were cutting costs with this book, I was waiting for it to get more writting sets of envelope + writting paper but I guess I will just buy the book 5 again for that.

I just realised this book doesn't have the cut out bunting either. I am quite sad, if I wanted a notebook I could buy one, I get this book for paper to use for letters and crafting, not for a blank notebook.

This book looks amazing and I was thinking about getting it but then I found out that shipping to the United States is $37!!! That's more than the book costs so I was pretty bummed about that but it's okay. How much does shipping cost for you?
@Robin1239806 жыл бұрын
Kate Wilken I live in the US and Amazon and EBay have the new book for sale.. but it costs $50.. free shipping... I am very envious though.. I wish the magazine subscription was available to people in the US... past editions of the book are also available on both sites...but they are even more expensive...$65-80! I like these but they are just too expensive.. I can buy scrapbook pads of paper (40+ sheets each) for $6.99 at the store Tuesday Morning... if you’ve never been, I highly recommend checking the store out...

I don't pay for shipping, because the magazine is Dutch in origin :) Plus, I have a subscription so I receive them every month.
@amybreakwell85096 жыл бұрын
I might be the minority, but I’m disappointed in this 6th edition. I have numbers two and five, and have used them a ton. The items in those were so much more useful to a letter writer than this one. Way more letter paper, and envelope outlines printed onto the envelope pages that you were commenting about as hard to use. I don’t have a use for so many posters, geometric bowls, gift bags. I won’t be rushing to buy this as I thought I would. Oh well. (Yes I know I can turn pages I don’t want into envelopes, but for that purpose I have a huge stack of scrapbook paper that only cost $5 or old calendars for free!)
@ThePaperLetterBlog6 жыл бұрын
I have to say I agree with you, especially about the poster and 10+ geometric bowls! The gift bag pages I'll probably use for something else, and I was a bit sad to see no envelopes in there this year. I do like the writing and decorative paper though, but I'm not 100% sure I love it either.
@amybreakwell85096 жыл бұрын
Totally agree! Even in college I saved my posters and reused them in each tiny dorm room, so I would have been hard pressed to use so many new ones every year. I wonder who they think will benefit from the selection in book six... Usually there’s a few items I don’t have use for or that will take me a long time to use from a Flow paper book, but this time the not-useful outweighed the useful, so I will take a year off from purchasing.
@deliciouscolours6 жыл бұрын
I miss the envelopes too, I was disapointed in that. That being said I did love the floral patterns and love to use the colored pages on one side and with the pattern on the other side to write letters with a white pen or another opaque color, it looks quite cool...but I usually buy the book mostly for the letter paper and envelopes so I am a bit sad though I will get it anyway and buy some colored envelopes separately. I think I will end up buying the book 5 again for the letter paper because I really need it and it's cheaper than buying cute paper and envelopes anyway.
@tamarahochfelsner85626 жыл бұрын
That's really cool! I think it would also be cool to use the calendar parts of the book to make envelopes. Because if you write a letter in let's say March, I think it would be cool to receive that letter in an envelope made out of a March calendar :)

That's what I have with all the books. What can I do with so many notebooks and posters? XD I'm not sure how I feel yet, but I like that they all have a pretty back as well. So I can use them for decorating and what not. Because I have the specials subscription I like to think it was a little less expensive, but for next year I'll just get the normal subscription and buy the specials I like as so many were not that interesting 🤔
