This is basically noise but prettier! Using noise, duplicator, a colour blend and a few other layers I'll show you how to create a soothing fluid noise effect.

Since I made this tutorial there have been some changes to Cavalry - to follow along to this tutorial you will have to un-tick Use Position Context in the Noise behaviour. Thanks - Sorry about the confusion!! 🥸

The only way it works is if "Use position context" is checked and "Use index context" is not.

Hey Pepko! I'm just getting into Cavalry. Great tutorial! Any suggestions on how to make the noise more random? It sort seems like it's just moving from right to left across my screen. Thanks!

Hey there are a few different kinds of noise which you can use with quite a few different properties. Play around with frequency and gain plus the different noise types. You can also use a Behaviour Mixer to mix noises together. Also - just experiment and see where you end up.

Hey dude. How do you set up your project so that the behaviors you add automatically get parented/nested to whatever your adding them to? Every time I add a behavior it just adds it to the top of my layer stack and I would like it to be nested just so my project is tidy. Thanks a lot and appreciate all the knowledge you share!

Hey - that was the default they changed a while ago and it isn't an option :/ It is to do with scene performance - and bad habits :)

I don't see Advanced option when I right click on the header bar of the noise behaviour in the Attribute Editor. Any idea why?

Use the LookAt behaviour fed into the shape rotation :)
