Boat rides aren't cheap Žiga! The American "Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994" (aka 1994 Crime bill, assault weapons ban) royally hosed up European/commie arms prices in the US. A 1993 $100 SKS of any flavor is 8+ times that now. Better arms are $1,000+. Anything imported after 2004 is sold at a premium because the market supports those prices.

Looks solid, I think flow through suppressors are a must for semi automatic rifles, especially if you are wrong handed. Do own classic and flow through and it is huge difference if you shot fast and more than 3 rounds :) Can you do comparison video between different brands? @@PolenarTactical well, swiss quality ain't cheap and I don't see a reason why rifle cans for intermediate calibers have to be serviced. sure, in the US they often have baffle strikes because many of their "gun smiths" aren't able to cut a decent thread but if you don't buy a trash rifle you won't have any alignment issues and therefore no baffle strikes and therefore no reason for a serviceable can. and cleaning a can is pointless. almost like cleaning the exhaust of a car.

I am still waiting for a flow thru supressor that uses small turbine blades to power spinning propeller in the front. Maybe some of you supresor nuts in more free countries can pick up on that idea. My concept basically includes a hollow shaft thru which the bullet passes, turbine blaces on its outside an a large propellor with a 2 blade propeller, like on those clown hats. Imagine shooting a full magazine thru this rifle on a hot summer day, to then enjoy a cool breeze from the fan while it makes a zzzzzzzzzzzmmmmmmm. sound. That would be epic.

829€, stainless, 22oz(≈ Nomad-L + Keymo QD), 2-yr warranty. That means for the size and material it has little effective volume. I won't buy one. Just get an SRBS 3d printed Inconel for about the same price, ~ a half pound less weight, better reliability(doesn't come apart), better longevity(Inconel 718), and a lifetime warranty. Probably has better performance since 3d printed star baffles with channels are super efficient, also it has a more intricate design for flash suppression and front venting. A well designed suppressor should be made so that gas/combustion happens in a specific and controlled manner, it really shouldn't allow users to play with the baffles.🤔

@@JohnZ556 i see you have your own beliefs which is fine, but it seems foolish to talk about this suppressor like this without even seeing it in person, much less actually testing it. If you prefer welded up or 3D suppressors, great. But user serviceable suppressors exist for a reason
@JohnZ5563 ай бұрын
@@PolenarTactical Sure I have not used an MFT can, I'm merely a suppressor nerd sharing my observations and speculation based on what I can find and my experience with different cans. This isn't a belief, 3D printing absolutely beats CNC when we start to design flow-through, reduced backpressure, or PIP(impossible with CNC). For any reduced backpressure can, you will have some type of channels/vents, those have to be simplified for CNC and most certainly have to be done in pieces. 3D printing can make way more efficient (complex) designs without additional cost, and it eliminates the dead weights that CNC must leave for wielding/assembling. B&T and OSS have already done similar things(very different approaches) with CNC, the RBS was extremely heavy(33oz) and thick because of the outer flow chamber and durability requirements. OSS BPR was quite large and still heavy(24oz), and it comes in many pieces not really meant for duty use. Both have huge drawbacks, B&T now has a 100% printed SRBS line, and OSS replaced it with fully optimized and wielded HX-QD before going fully 3d printed Flow series and changing its name to Huxwrx. All of those steps are for very good reasons and actual upgrades. Now Huxwrx has a Ventum line that seems like the closest to MFT. But with 3d printed core for better weight/performance efficiency, tho I personally don't like Ti cored cans because of sparks and heat erosions. I know Ventum is impressively low backpressure and modular, but it's not as good as the 3d printed Flow for overall performance. I do wish MFT outperforms the Ventum, but from all I can see for now it might just be a similar product(way heavier but more durable?) at best. Because Huxwrx can just 3d print an Inconel or Stainless core for the Ventum. Still, neither would be my pick. You're a dealer in the EU, so maybe you can do a comparison between a few different 'flow-through' cans? That will be interesting!

@@guitarfreak122 i presume AR15 is chambered in .223/5.56 so you wont be shooting subsonics. That means that you will have to be using ear pro so it doesnt make sense to search for the quietest can. Depends if you have an adjustable gas system or not but i would highly recommend some kind of flow through can or at least low backpressure. If you dont shoot at night and with NVGs then you also dont need that much flash suppression. If weight and maneuverability is more important to you than suppression, i would go with shorter cans. If you shoot a lot or if you shoot fast, keep away from aluminum or titanium cans. You also need to decide if you want a suppressor that will be dedicated only for this rifle and will stay on (maybe direct thread) or you would want to often remove it or use it also with different rifle or even calibers? - so probably multi-caliber can with some kind of QD attachment. And of course price point, that's also a factor :) TL;DR - figure out what are your needs and preferences and then use them to find suitable options

The comment about supersonic flight noise is kind of incorrect in that it depends where you are shooting. Outdoors, the shooter is never directly exposed to the projectile flight noise, therefore it is a moot point. Indoors, the supersonic flight noise is reflected back at the shooter and can be quite loud. You can think of flight noise like the wake from a speedboat. The person standing on the shore, while the boat moves away, is never directly exposed to the wake created by the moving boat.
@PolenarTactical3 ай бұрын
Interesting theory that can easily be refuted by anyone that has ever shot subsonic and supersonic ammo through a suppressor. Outdoors the sound is not that loud but still way past hearing safe. You cant make supersonic rounds hearing safe by using a suppressor. You can shoot them outdoors because it doesnt hurt the ears too much but know that you are still damaging your hearing. The damage is cumulative and irreversible
@ExpatriotSilencers3 ай бұрын
@@PolenarTactical I have been designing, building and testing sound suppressors for 20 years. I was trained to sound test suppressors by Alan Paulson and Phil Dater, who are the godfathers of firearm sound testing. I also hold several US patents on sound suppressors. The supersonic shockwave travels perpendicular to the bullet's path, which means the shooter is never directly exposed to the sound. The shooter only hears reflected noise from the bullet. Any decent suppressor will be hearing safe at the muzzle, on a bolt gun. Which makes it hearing safe for the shooter. SA's are different due to noise coming out the ejection port.

Here are a few pointers for people who are not as familiar with these newer flow-through suppressors: 1 - They really are great about not needing much to get working well on gas-operated rifles. The most common mod is simply the muzzle device for attachment, and that's it. 2-The muzzle devices that require threading should really have reverse threads for the suppressor-to-device interface. That way, taking the suppressor off requires turning it in the direction that will tighten the muzzle device onto the barrel instead of taking it off. 3 - VERY high-temperature anti-seize for the threads and taper mount on the exterior of the muzzle device is a huge help-the carbon ring can really lock the suppressor on there, so any help you get with that is nice. 4-Get the highest-temperature pot holder or equivalent and keep it in your range bag. Use it when possible to try to loosen the suppressor before it cools down too much. This really helps with suppressor removal for later cleaning of the rifle, etc. 5 - Between the toxins, the carcinogens, the other byproducts of the firing cycle, and the traditional suppressor forcing it all back into your face, it is a very noticeable thing to deal with - it's like angry tear gas, and it just plain sucks. Flow through is a welcome addition that will reduce this significantly. 6 - Those who shoot under night vision will notice a reduction in gasses around your face, meaning there is less there to flare up brightly under the infrared illumination and therefore less to essentially flare up and effectively blind you during longer strings of fire. It does not totally eliminate this, but any reduction is welcome.
