I'm a first-year floristry student and I know the mechanics of making a hand-tied bunch and this is one of the very few vlogs that actually show you the correct way of doing things, so thank you

so beautiful- i do this arrangement when invited to birthday dinners at restaurants- sits independently on table, so host doesn’t have to trouble himself asking for a vase.

Such a brilliant short video, thank you. I've been asked by a friend to do her wedding flowers this July. She asked me because I love flowers, know their names and what's in season and because I am always picking random bunches of flowers from my garden and putting them around the house all through the year! She wants really simple 'wild' flower look and I'm currently growing them all in my garden. Astrantia, Nigella (blue and white), alchamilla, Echinops and many more. BUT, I have never done a hand tied bouquet! I will, of course be practicing lots but have a question; how can I ensure longevity (for the whole day) for this bouquet?
@ChelseaFuss4 жыл бұрын
To ensure a fresh wedding bouquet, choose some flowers that are budded and others that are just barely opening. The heat of your hands will make the flowers open faster, as you begin working with them, so keep that in mind when choosing the stages your flowers are in at the moment. Keep the bouquet in a cool place, ideally a fridge. I usually make wedding bouquets the night before the event. Good luck!

Usually florists buy from wholesale markets. You can source fresh flowers from your local florist, wholesale market, farmers market, and even foraging!
