Thank you John what a fantastic arrangement, I love the drama it offers. It would be lovely in front of the alter in my local church here in Colchester Essex. The colours are a celebration for the beginning of autumn 🍂

I just love that someone loves on Gladiolus!! They're such an amazing flower in so many ways but like carnations have been less appreciated than they deserve to be! Mr. Rittner thank you for also demonstrating how to make a stunning arrangement out of really only four or so flowers and almost nothing else!

Thank you for your comments. Every floral product is unique in certain ways. Rather than 'liking' or 'not liking' a particular botanical based on 'gut reactions' smart floral designers look at the salient features each one brings to the design bench, appreciates them, and uses them in his/her designing for those features. The implication is that EVERY botanical brings something unique and special to the design table. Knowing that opens up many more floral art options. Again I appreciate your watching and your comments!

I haven't an artistic bone in my body - but I think I could give this a go! Glads are not classed as a memorial flower in the UK. We get a glut of them in August, then they disappear. Now I have a better idea of what to do with them - and am subscribing!

Thank you so much Steve, I’ve really really enjoyed watching you create these stunning and gorgeous arrangements. It’s incredible what you can do with just a couple of stems of Gladioli. And your containers are really really stunning and gorgeous too. Thank you so much for all the instructions and I really really enjoyed it. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags

I am inspired! Heading out today to get some oasis floral foam & Glads! Does the floral foam need to be watered after a day or two?
@rittnersfloralschool4 жыл бұрын
Hi Robin. Glad you like the video. Yes it's a good idea to check the foam and add some water every day to every other day.

One other question....do you remember where you purchased your triangular shaped container? This design is simply beautiful. If I lived in Boston I would sign up for your classes.
@rittnersfloralschool4 жыл бұрын
HI Robin. Thanks for your message. It was actually a gift from one of my students. I did look up "Triangular Ikebana Container" and found this link on Etsy. I have not done business with this source so you can let me know how it works out. www.etsy.com/shop/IkebanaDreaming?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=728664226&page=2#items Incidentally, not to give you any kind of sales pitch, but we have just released an Online Certificate Floral Course www.floralschoolonline.com

Where 's the water?
@rittnersfloralschool6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for asking. I used foam media for these arrangements. The flowers take up the water from the foam.
