Hi Stephen, is it common in Ikebana to not cover the mechanics espc the pin holders?
@iwatejapang4 жыл бұрын
In the beginning arrangements, it is not as important. But when you get into the more advanced, like this one, you try to make sure the pin holder cannot be seen from the front. That does not mean you have to cover it with materials so you can't see it, but the angle of the materials and they way they cover the pin holder. Seeing the pin holder let's the viewer know that the materials were inserted in by someone. If you can't see the pin holder, it feels like the materials have grown in the container naturally, adding to the beauty of the arrangement.
