Oh meant to say that the wall turned out super amazing and really changed the look of the house. When you mentioned red maple my first thought was, 'will it clash with the red bricks?' then, 'is that too close to the house for a tree?' Can you grow Esperanza’s where you live? The yellow blooms would be a nice contrast & the size is easily managed. Can’t wait to see the next video of this project.

Best part of the video IMO is you saying you're not that good at setting a level first row of blocks but then it all comes together perfectly. I've done a couple of similar projects on my property and I used the same method: try your best with the base layer, but then just hit the blocks with a deadblow hammer until they're level, checking like 100 times per block just to make sure. It's really comforting to know that I'm not alone. Gives me a lot of confidence.
@Edu_Kate2 жыл бұрын
Looks great! If you're still wondering which tree to plant on the end, I would suggest a 'Slender Hinoki Cypress' tree. It grows to less than 12' and 2' wide. It has a kind of whimsical look. The dark green would stand out from the red brick front unlike a Japanese maple and those can get quite a spreading root system. Just a thought.

I liked the addition of the music - that wind was fierce. You put a nice gentle curve in a flower bed so it will be easy to mow around, and I would take it out and around the AC unit unless you intend to cover that up with some sort of screen. I prefer mulch in my flower beds. When I bought this house the prior owner had put white marble stones around the base of two pine trees and it was a disaster, impossible to keep clean looking from the non-stop shedding of pine cones and small twigs from those pines. Mulch can just be raked out and replaced for a fresh clean look, or even just add an extra layer on top and clean out the following spring.
@TopNotchLawns2 жыл бұрын
