Flower Granny Square Tutorial

Something is a little different about his hat. Your square is in the front. Look like his is split more one on each side of front. Do I turn it a little. Or add another row to make a middle?

Hi. I have made two squares and neither of them have a side that has more than 16 double crochet. I made sure not to skip a stitch after corners during the 4th round and I’ve triple checked my work. What step is supposed to make one side have 17 stitches? I don’t know what I’ve done wrong

Hey! The side where you slip stitch to close there should be a dc before the sl st and after and it’s during the row where you’re adding a dc in that secret stitch by the corner. I hope that makes sense.

I did the brim in single crochets 2 sc tog where the squares meet. I increased every 6th stitch, every 8th stitch, and every 10th stitch with one round of no increase in between. Full tutorial is coming soon if you didn’t follow that.

Of course it will work. Try it out and let me know. As long as it’s a 4 weight yarn, I recommend keeping the 4.5mm hook.

I think I did something wrong I’m not able to find the 17 chain for the single crochet on the border. Has this happened to anyone else, and does it matter??

It’s really for your longest side, it doesn’t have to be 17 stitches.
