I’m not doing any more seeds , you got me last year doing bells of Ireland and now this !! I’m not getting them ! No I’m not going to order these seeds , no I’m not , they don’t sell any pelleted seeds in Scotland well I can’t find any . I’m not doing anymore I can’t fit any more flowers in my garden no no no I’m not going to get any more seeds ! Naw it’s no for me ! Top tip for controlling fungus gnats with minimal hassle, seep your Mosquito Bits in water and add it to the trays as you water them. I can't get MB here in Europe but I can get the active ingredient (Bacillus Thuringiensis Subspecies Isrealensis) in pellet form, and that's how we use them. I suppose your could just put some MB in your bottom trays and they would slowly dissolve each time you water.

Yay!! I love all of the other wonderful stuff that we share in, too!! I grew lisianthus (and craspedia) over 20 yrs ago… Actually pulled it off!! I had some seedstarting/gardening experience under my belt and was riding high on ambition to grow things that I thought were pretty, that others weren’t familiar with, before flower farming was even a blip in my mind. I’m so psyched for the challenge again! Thank goodness for pelleted seed this time around. 😂 only one lis for this season Arena 3 apricot. Hope it’s gorgeous! Larkspur in our zone 6b seems to grow best if it can be seeded after it naturally goes to seed. I would cut, save, clean and reseed…but that was a lot of dead space. 😢

Re: Fungus Knats...Pour boiling water over your seed starting soil....you have to moisten it anyways....enough to moisten it but not so much that drops come out when squeezed. I do this every year, it works, and I start a lot of seeds!

This is my second year of attempting to grow Lisianthus. I failed miserably last year but I feel like I figured out what I did wrong. I bought two new varieties to try this year, a Rosanne Mix and one called Hot Lips.

Same here. My I started my seeds indoors way ahead of time and they stayed so small for months. My first buds came at the very end of the season and we had a frost and they never opened 😩 I'm going try again because they are so beautiful.

I've used the channel trays forever. Wouldn't use anything else. Can't even say how old my trays are but you can get hundreds of seeds started in one tray. I also just make a list of what I plant. Mine just sit on a regular flat and I mist them frequently.
