About 8-10 years ago I heard this incredible song for the first time on the now defunct station KUSP. It sent chills up my spine, I couldn't believe its incredible orchestration, the way each instrument relayed those sounds! Seth Kolski was the Saturday night dj, playing only original vynil records specializing in soul, funk, disco, rare groove, and overall incredible music in the last only-vynil music show in the US. At least back then, it was. I used to be a vynil enthusiastic but he had every album I had (10+ thousand records) yet I could never find those lps he did have. He was a good music mentor. May your God keep you by his side, Seth. I hope you're spinning some heavenly soul up there in the great beyond.

Released in 1976, sells for £2,500 that's if you can get hold of the original "7" Richard Flowers is the name to remember, because he is the voice behind this fabulous Rare Groover with subtle strings to match, very much in the Leroy Hutson, Leon Ware school of music, this is a treasure trove of a track that even Roy Ayers & Wayne Henderson covered it on their album

Daniel Kelly this is how it works,in 76 people were more interested in young hearts runfree and all that crap ,and gems like this didn't get a lookin,so most of them were destroyed, meaning now there are not many around hence the price,,,good job I got my copy in 1981 for 10 pounds,ktf,

Thought so. This came up in my recommendations and I said to my partner "This probably costs loads, doesn't it?" Lovely track.
@Crazyness95 жыл бұрын
Daniel Kelly these are the only known copies of the song.Having a youtube play is nothing.Thise vinyls are the only way music like this still exists.One day youtube wont exist.But those cinyls will last for as long as they are taken care of.There are more expensive ones that are more rare.Simply because you cannot find them anywhere

D'Ann Chen These type of records were never hits, tiny independant labels, with maybe 500 copies pressed. Lost in the vast sheer amount that america put out. The soul and funk that america gave the world from 64 to 84 will be talked about, debated even studied in 500years time as a cultural high point and epoch,.of course it took english collectors and djs to rediscover it lying around in bargain bins and dusty warehouses. This track has been played constantly for 30years here in england, and now commands a four figure sum. Any how just sayin. Check out soul spectrum vol 1 and 2 for more like this. Heres another tune to check out "family of eve" please be truthful. Peace to you..x
