"It is so appropriate to color hope yellow, like the sun we seldom saw...We lived in the attic, Christopher, Cory, Carrie, and me".
If you've been with my channel for long time, you probably know these books are my favourite. Yeah yeah, they are trash. But I always loved them when I was younger. I especially loved how they delved into: shame, god, religion, revenge, family dynamics. Even just between Cathy and her mother. I loved how Cathy was never here for that shit, even though Christopher had his mother complex issues (which seem to be inherited in his family -_-).
I wish the video could have been better, but I found the song very challenging to edit to, although i do love the song itself. So maybe in the future with different music.

!! Super short summary of the book. Not spoilers. Just main start point. Mum locks/hides the children up in the grandparents attic as a plan to get inheritance money after dad dies (after being previously disowned for marrying each other despite being uncle/niece - or were they? cough cough). Mum starts to see the children less and less...eventually leading to worse things. cathy/chris fall in love with each other in the attic, which basically is what the grandparents feared the most happening.
