The driver just got divorced. He was angry and took it out on innocent people who were just walking/jogging, many elderly people too. Then he locked himself in the car and tried to commit suicide by slitting his own throat. At this point the police broke the car window and arrested him. But the throat cut was very serious so now he's lying in a hospital bed, still alive.

A lot of these types of attacks are happening in China because people are struggling and there are no ways for them to voice their frustrations like we can in Western countries.
