I just want to say thank you 🥰 I am a floral designer in Surrey, England (UK) and work from home with 5 children. Though I am bench trained and have never taken any floral courses with qualifications, I watch all of your videos which have helped me understand colour placement, the principals and fundamentals of floristry, and the mechanics. All things that I simply can’t just ‘know’ without taking classes. From the bottom of my heart, thank you xxx I shall continue to learn, enjoy and grow thanks to your instructive, happy, easy to understand videos 🥰🎉🌺🌸 sending you all so much love and thanks, Casey (The Little Flower Girl) surrey, England 😃❤️🌺 xxxx

Hello Casey and welcome to Flower School! What a wonderful and heartwarming e-mail this is, and we are so glad to hear that you find our videos useful in your work as a designer. We're delighted to know that they are helping you develop your skills and understanding of floral design overall, and we're so pleased to be of service to you. If you are ever looking for something specific, please let us know and we'll try to help you find it, or if there is something else you want to learn about, please mention it and we can add it to our list of suggestions for future shows. It may be difficult for you to join us for Live on Wednesdays as the show airs at 3:00 pm Pacific Time, which would be quite late at night for you, but if you ever want to meet us there, we be delighted to welcome you to the Tulip Bunch as well. Thank you very much for sharing your kind words of praise and for watching so many of our shows, and congratulations on running your business from home while at the same time caring for your five children. That takes tremendous expertise and organization and clearly you are doing a stellar job with it all. Best wishes to you and hope all is well with you and in Surrey!

Hearing and watching Leanne design and provide the rationale and design criteria for her process is so helpful. It’s very engaging to mentally and vicariously participate. It is really so helpful to follow her sequence and try to apply the knowledge. Thanks to each and every one of the the talented FDI teachers for sharing their expertise! I know it takes a lot of behind the scenes planning and preparation to make a presentation.🌷

We really love your analyses of Leanne's presentations, Doane! They are spot on and so effective in terms of encapsulating what she sets out to do. Your posts are marvelous in the way in which you summarize her objectives from the show. It's beautiful and brilliant in every way possible. Thank you for being so supportive of our work and for sharing in it often. We are incredibly grateful for your presence on our channel and we look forward to seeing you very soon. Wishing you all the best and please have a superb week while enjoying flowers too!

Love your tutorials have been doing weddings for decades. Soon to be retiring from full time work and transitioning into event planning and floral presentations on a more large scale. Can't tell you how much I've learned about all aspects of floral design. Actually won as an Avant guard spring creator at a local spring flower show. Seriously thinking about taking your classes and testing. I Love competition. Background many years as an artist in my college years as a hobby. Currently for the last decade have been doing large scale church seasonal instillations and for exclusive party events. Large scale wedding events are still my favorite. Can wait to watch more videos. Finally catching up on all the class work terminology in design and mechanics.

Hello from Australia. I don’t get to join you live at the moment because I’m actually at flower school on Thursdays now when you go live. I’m doing my Cert IV, which is the advanced class here. Thank goodness I can catch up on your videos when I get home. If any of the Tulips close to Sydney are going to the Sydney Easter Show, my class is doing a floral display that will be in the flower and garden pavilion for the entire show. This is the first big event I’ve been involved in, so it’s exciting.

Hello Jasmine and congratulations on your floral education! The Sydney Easter Show sounds so exciting, and we hope the class display in the flower and garden pavilion is a huge success for all of you! Not to worry about joining us on Live because we are always here for you on replay, but we'll be glad to welcome you to the Live show when you are ready to join us in the morning for coffee and flowers. We have quite a few viewers from all throughout Australia and they usually join us for Live in the morning too. Sending you best wishes for your classes and for the upcoming show and we hope you have a splendid week working with flowers! P.S. We have been a bit curious as to what flowers are popular for Easter there since it is in the fall. We are used to spring flowers for Easter here and would love to learn more about the holiday traditions for this time of year. Thanks very much and please take care!

@@FlowerSchool as it’s autumn, flowers aren’t usually a big part of Easter celebrations here. But for our floral display, the theme we have been given is “a tribute to the Easter Show’s 200 year history”. Yes, it’s been going for that long. It’s hosted by the Royal Agricultural Society and basically it’s two weeks every year where the country comes to the city. There are lots of cows, horses, sheep and other farm animals, large displays by different regions showcasing the crops that they grow. So we’re focusing on the official show colours of red, purple and gold. We’re mostly using native flowers like Kangaroo Paw, Billy Buttons, Zigzag wattle, Woolly Bush, paper daisies, as well as after dark and magnolia foliage, anthuriums and leucadendrons, phalaenopsis orchids and to represent agriculture, dried citrus slices and wheat. I can’t wait to see it all come together. I love how we can connect via technology. I look forward to catching up on your show next week.

I am a florist who has her own floral business, but no formal training which course would you recommend for someone like myself?
@FlowerSchool
@FlowerSchool 2 жыл бұрын
That's an excellent question, Kimberly! You already have very valuable skills and experience through your work as a florist, and our courses would complement that. Most of our students start with Basic Floral Design (either in-person or on-line) and upon completing that course, move on to Advanced Floral Design to get their certification. Every student is in a different place in terms of their floral journey so it would probably be best if we could talk with you about what you want to do and how floral education will help you get there. If you would like to chat with us about it, feel free to give us a call at 1-503-223-8089 or e-mail rose@floraldesigninstitute.com. Either way we would love to have you join us to study floral design and we'll be there to support you all along the way. Thank you very much for reaching out to us and for taking time to watch our show. We look forward to having you join us again soon and wish you a stellar week in the meantime! P.S. Here is the link to our courses if you would like more information: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/classes.html

That's a good question, Missing Yo Savary! The best way to find out all about AIFD testing is their website: aifd.org/become-cfd-and-aifd-2/ They describe the process in detail and sharing the scoring criteria as well. We hope this helps you prepare in advance. Thank you very much for watching our show and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Wishing you all the best and please take care!
