Isn't it a lot more important that god bless the millions of people around the World who die each year from starvation, disease, draught, pestilence, war, natural disasters, drugs, poverty, homelessness, etc. What are all of those millions doing wrong not to deserve god's blessing? Could it be that there is no god, and life is in large part luck?

The Double Deuce as in Road House (1989)? If so, do you live life by 3 basic rules? 1. Never underestimate your opponent; Expect the unexpected 2. Take it outside; Never start anything inside the bar unless it's absolutely necessary. 3. Be nice. It’s nothing personal.

I’m an Iowa Homer and was a big Gilman supporter. I was bummed when he lost to Darion Cruz (stupid move on Gilman’s part) but stood in his corner. Gilman disrespected Doug Schwab, Brent Metcalf, and Kevin Dresser…..it was embarrassing but I stood by him. His comments at the Ok State dual were stupid but I stayed in his corner. I cheered him on when he ran the gauntlet and made made his first world team. He took shots at all the people who had his back at Penn State. Now he says they can shove it for all I care. “FU” Gilman…..good luck and good riddance.

You don't sound blissful, but your ignorance is certainly comprehensive. There is no dirt and the issues are common knowledge, personal, and represent a completely different person at the beginning of each stage in Thomas' life. What kind of person was Thomas as a high-school senior? You don't know, but you have an opinion you think everyone needs to hear. Also, your assessment of individual growth within programs is without merit and can not be supported. Maybe check out recruiting ranking compared to final NCAA position. You can be a homer and ignorant, but revealing it in an all caps post is not a burn on the well respected program at UI.

Bud, Gilman lost his spot on the Olympic team last summer to an Iowa guy... He gets patted on the back a lot for betraying Iowa but imo he was better off staying. Spencer was the best partner Gilman could ever ask for, but instead of training with him, he ran from him, and tried to get better without him. It was a mistake. Gilman could have been an olympic champion if he stayed loyal to his people
