Jax once attended a few wrestling practices at my middle school. He didn't go to my school, but he came a few times for extra practice. I remember being told that he was state champ, but that never fully sunk in until I watched him pin a D1 wrestler a few months ago. It's crazy to see how far he's come.

I don't know how I feel about a reversal only being 2 points. A reversal is essentially a takedown from the down position. You get taken down then you reverse it and you're still behind? I dunno. I like the 3pt takedown not saying that needs to be changed

It's similar to freestyle: A takedown in freestyle is 2 points, but a reversal is only 1. It's to award the more offensive, proactive wrestler, as opposed to the more passive, reactive one. They don't want people just hanging there and waiting on each other.

@@celica96 A reversal IS the more proactive attack though. Generally in folkstyle, you'll want your escape and in freestyle, you'll just get your base and wait for a restart. The most common reversals are either as an attack from bottom or a scrambling takedown where the other wrestler managed to score points without really having control.
