Depending on the school he goes to, I expect him to be at least a 2 timer like Vito. But he's better at freestyle than he is folk so he does have the potential to still lose to guys just as good and talented as him. Lilledahl, Forrest, Bassett, etc...

@@xzjayz7925 What are you talking about? Yes he's a fantastic freestyler, but he's also the best P4P high school folkstyler right now despite being younger than all those guys. He beat Jax Forrest twice. Bassett is in a higher weight class so they may never wrestle in college. And he'll be lightening Luke's teammate next year at PSU, but probably 2 weight classes above him.

@@ahernandez9621 you can't ask me what I'm talking about bud then say this. First off, he hadnt committed to Penn St at the time of my comment. Hence why I said “depending on the school he goes to…” Also, regardless of him being P4P he can still lose… since when does being P4P #1 make you invincible? He’s lost before… he’s lost to Leo DeLuca (Iowa), Ben Davino (Ohio State), He’s lost to JAX FORREST (uncommitted), who like him is only going to get better. He barely beat Seth Mendoza (Missouri) who Jax recently ran though three times in a row. You act like I said he wouldn’t win a single title, calm down, I’m just saying there’s no Guarantee he’s a automatic 4 timer.

@@ahernandez9621 He’s going 141. His brother is a 157 pounder, and Marcus has a frame to fill out. Wouldn’t shock me if Bassett and him met at 149. However unlikely. He won’t meet Leo DeLuca ever again, he won’t meet Knox ever again, and he probably won meet Ben Davino since he’ll be 133. He might very well battle it out with Jax Forrest, because he also has a frame to fill out.

wresting will never grow until they get announcers who know enough to share some basic facts with audience. eg tell the story! a high schooler? from which high school? wresting college students? from which colleges? or are they former college students? if so, where did they go to school and how old are they now? did they ever win anything while in college? which one of them won what? i get that wrestling community likes the "this is for insiders only" thing, but i'm just saying that the sport will not grow if even the announcers treat it like that. sorry for the rant!!

You're completely right. They don't tell the story either because they don't know the story, they don't care about the story, they just suck at announcing sporting events, or all of the above.

@@kcgunesq In freestyle you get 2 points for "exposure" Every time you get your opponents back to face the ground... Unlike folks style where you have to basically give up an escape and get another take down, in free you can keep getting 2 points added from that same grounded position Everytime you flip them to Thier back .... You could basically do a move that rolls the oppent over a few times like a barrel roll, leg lace , gut and win a match in like 20 seconds it's wild 😂 but the faster pace is more exciting then folkstyle

There are moves that Dave Shultz did that work and nobody does one was rip a guys single leg out by reaching under the arm no one does it we had a guy in Wisconsin that did a simple gut wrench with one arm no one does it you can do countless arm drags by simply grabbing a wrist no one does it under arm spins no one does it anymore these modern wrestlers are fools for not learning moves from guys of the past Shultz gable had a move where he would kick back and trip the guy these modern coaches are not that good

What is your point? They still do BOTH. Seems moot when all these wrestlers participate in both styles, doesn't it? I don't get what your criticism is about, its just seems pointless and like a jab at flowrestling, without any substance. Flo isn't great, but it is so much better getting to watch matches now, than it ever was before. So again, what is your point.

@@jf8138 Criticism being that Flo has the habit of saying "oh this guy was great in folkstyle so he's amazing in freestyle!" when we have more than enough examples to the contrary. They take different skill sets to do each of them. Look at Zain when he came out of college. He was a monster at riding folks but that did not translate at all to freestyle and he had to (and luckily was able to) adjust his game accordingly.
