Another STATEMENT freshman win. Meyer is a legitimate threat to win it all as freshman. Just incredible getting the major and beating Bryce at his own game. World class scrambling by both. 👏🏼 Bryce rushed it a few times and Meyer timed the reattacks perfectly. Bryce will be better for this and it’ll be closer next time. Damn I love this sport 🙏🏼

Great match all around. I thought the official was great too. He was right on the potentially dangerous call, probably preventing a shoulder injury and he handled the scrambles well. Shapira is in a great wrestling room at Cornell.

Wow, just wow!! Love seeing this kid wrestler and always exciting performances. Never disappoints. Idk about y'all but I predict a 4 timer!! Things are only going to get better and we got some very exciting matches we are going to see for the next 4 years and probably/most likely the next 4 time NCAA champ. Let's see if he does what Dake and Yanni did. I'm sure he got all those guys in the same room plus and he got the recipe for winning and the best staff to making it Happen!

Dake is in the Penn State room. I'd also say Messenbrink has a better chance of being the next 4X NC. He's just an absolute animal(though an objectively tougher weight class). Shapiro definitely has a shot at winning 4, but his learning curve needs to be a STEEP one.
